The gaiety theatre was built along the gothic style of architecture. It is very impressive to know how people of old days used to entertain themselves. There is separate arrangements of seating for the royalties and the commoners. The theatre has a unique mechanism of heating itself and the most interesting part is that only 50% of the audience could actually see the plays. Rest of them were there to only listen to the dialouges. In those times when there were no microphones, the architecture and the accoustics were so perfectioned that if the theatre was jam-packed and there was pin-drop silence then even a whisper uttered by the artist was audible to the audience.
