A note of caution. Don't drive an SUV till up there. You might end up killing your clutch plates. Park your SUV half way and hire a maruti or a small car for just 350 Rs.

An excellent place to visit. Be careful if you wear specs as the monkeys will have them off of you face and need bribing with food for their return.

You can see this taller than the trees Hanuman from all of Shimla, standing like a guardian over the forest and city. You can also hike up the road to the statue and see it up close (or at least see his foot (this statue is BIG!). It's really a nice, quiet place to marvel at modern engineering and art. As always, avoid any wild monkees you may see loitering about. (Don't bring food with you, and don't let cameras or purses dangle).
