this place is simply heaven......before arriving the resort you can experience the adventure of off roading........we have started our stay with warm welcome by hotel staff.......place is very calm & peaceful....rooms are clean with attached clean bathrooms & also with a small attic......anyone can enjoy the adventure activities from ametaure to proffesionals.......although the staff is not sufficient but service is unexpectionally excellent...the food is very good but the restaurent is not up to the level....swimming pool needs to be maintained.....

My entire trip got spoiled due to wrong selection of the hotel. First of all reaching there was a headache...every hotel put signages but it is like treasure hunt for u to search for oakwood hotel. After so much of hunting when we got down to the hotel we were given bamboo cottages that too when we were booked in advance for mud houses. Then the rooms were full of dust and the bathrooms were so tacky that you dont feel like using them. In three days of our stay (stay was cut short due to bad services of the hotel) there was not even a single time when the rooms were cleaned. They even dont know wht house keeping service is. For meals, there is buffet system, but you will be ashamed to see the buffet. Unhygeinic, stale and same repeated food is served to you. As the hotel is deep down from highway , you even cannot go out to have your food. And yes there are no room service available. When we asked for tea at 10.30 pm they said it is not available. Morning tea is also served late...as late as at around 9 a.m. as the staff doesn't wake up till that time. breakfast and dinner were served so late, nowhere the time stated is followed. Recreations activities is zero. you have literally nothing to do there. And yes how can i forget to mention why i left the hotel earlier - I had food poisoning eating their stale and unhygienic food and there is no first aid available if you need one which should be the basic thing everywhere. my money was not returned and there was no apologies from anyone for this bad bad service. My rating to this hotel goes to negatives...

This place is undoubtedly is the worst tourist destination in my knowledge. A completely idiotic setup in the middle of no where offering absolutely nothing to the customers. There is only kutcha road, no signage’s on highway. People tend to across it till Shoghi and then come back. You might think that the kutcha road which is full of stones is a part of the rural look and adventure, but the reality is that if your car tyre bursts while you are on it then you will be in the middle of nowhere.

It has creepy rooms with poor maintenance, full of insects and bugs, dirty bed sheet and towels ,no room service facilities, no recreational activities, no intercom facility in the room, phones which were kept were just dummies...

There is no proper restaurant here, a slight shed that was full of bugs and beetles all over it. Most surprising of all there is also no menu for their restaurant, just in case you ask them to provide you with something and you are left at the mercy of the owners to charge you anything they feel like. It goes without saying that in the two days we had to spend there, not one single food item was good. Disgusting set of meals which were served cold and heartlessly by untrained, smelly and ugly village idiots.

No presence of owner in the resort. Managed by a local boy. Most unprofessional staff. No medical facilities here in case of emergency. Not even a single tablet is there incase someone falls sick.

It had one so called swimming pool that has muddy water and all the frogs and other insects to give you company in case you decide to take a swim.

No security whatsoever, faulty door locks and it was a limit when a hotel staff tried to enter my room at 7AM without any intimation using the master key under the pretext of showing the room to some potential customers. This would be the last thing which you would expect from the resort staff.

Two days of horrid experience and torture to stay there which eventually ended up ruining our trip which was planned to rejuvenate and relax along with our families.

Word of advise, donot go here or else you would repent for life as what me and my friends are undergoing!!!!

Room Tip: Word of advise, donot go here or else you would repent for life as what me and my friends are under...

If it were to me, i would line up the staff and shoot every single one of them in between the eyes at point blank range. The owner, twice.

WORD OF ADVICE, DO NOT GO HERE. GO TO ANY OTHER PLACE BUT THIS ONE.

A very miserable and poor experience with this resort. Hopeless facility.

1) Location disadvantage: the resort is 3.5 km down the hill from main highway. There is only kutcha road, no signages on highway. People tend to across it till shoghi and then come back. You might call the kutcha road full of stones as a part of rural look and adventure, but the reality is if your car tyre bursts while returning from shimla midnight, then you are of nowhere.
2) A very unhygienic place- flies, flies every where. Being the jungle look, understand flies outside but it can’t be inside the rooms
3) Food- repeated menu everyday. Food once served is not warm/hot again. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are completely repeated every time. No fruits in breakfast which should be the first thing. Boiled eggs completely cold and two days old.
4) No presence of owner in the resort. Managed by a local boy.
5) They are fooling around with the customers : we asked for a taxi. for 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant the taxi called for us was a omni van (when we called bolero) and that too 4 seater. The irony was that they were expecting our children to stand at the back and that too for the whole day. Finally we had to pay rs 200 and cancel that taxi.
6) There is no housekeeping in rooms have not been cleaned since last three days.
7) Most unprofessional staff.
8) No medical facilities here in case of emergency. Not even a single tablet is there if someone fell sick.
9) No intercom list in the room, phones are dummy.
10) Water leakage in the bathrooms and there is no maintance when asked for.

we spent only one night in this beautiful place.............. away from the maddening crowd.

Very well appointed rooms, nice and clean, attached very clean bathrooms with running hot and cold water.

Very good food and service - there is no menu, you are asked what you would like to eat and the food is prepared fresh for your dinner.

One can also request for a bonfire in the evening and and have your dinner next to the bonfire.

The resort has only 12 rooms, but I could see an extension on one side - some more rooms coming up as well as a swimming pool.

The hotel has some nature activities as well which we could not indulge in because of lack of time - but will be sure to try them when we stay here next.

Highly recommended and will be back for sure to spend more time.
