“Good food but too pricey”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

They have come a long way - this was the best eating place for the budget traveller till a few years ago - served fantastic food and great prices. Sadly today it seems to have been taken over by the inbound tourism crowd. The prices have gone through the roof. This was always a place where one could eat for 2 people for Rs 500. Now it is catering to the foreign tourist and the tour houses, where an escort eats free. Today a meal for 2 costs 2000+. A diet coke costs 170 plus taxes - that would put a Taj Hotel to shame.

On the positive side - the food is still great but at this price the whole of Delhi is open to you. The Tandori chicken is still the same and Scrumptous. The Dal, the Butter nan, Seek Kabab are all fantastic!

“Over priced and hyped!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Have been to this place on number of occassions on my own and with office teams during lunch as it is recommended most of the times due to location, timings etc. Visited the place again after almost two years for dinner and found the place to be average in terms of food we tried except that it is exorbitantly priced.

As mentioned by a fellow reviewer the place is mostly visited by tourists or gold chain wearing heavy weights. The food is not bad but the price is steep and in terms of value it scores very low due to multiple options available these days.

“Good service and yummy butter chicken”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

A lot of tourists come here during lunch time, thank God, we arrived in the afternoon. I love their Butter Chicken so much... Also, my favorite Indian dessert, Phirni. The price is quite high but if you have good food, then it's worth it.

“Better than ordinary”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

When our bus arrived at Chicken Inn my first thought was: "No, nor chicken again!".Beside vegetarian ones the most common dish in the numerous buffets that meets you everywhere in India is - chicken. There it always comes with bones in a tasty sauce and in this case the sauce is made with more butter than usually and tastes even more and better. The cost was included in our tour, but judging from other guests it was a bit high compared to similar restaurants..

“Really must change their name!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

For 2 vegetarians the name of this restaurant nearly stopped us going but thankfully not quite! It is a really nice, reasonably priced restuarant in a convenient location that caters for both veggies and carnivores very well. Staff are helpfull, food is excellent, wide choice of dishes and place is clean and reasonably priced.
For those who have discovered Delhi's awesome metro system it is 10mins walk from Khan market on the Violet line. Do give it a try and I especially recommend the Palak Paneer.
