“Shawarma King of Delhi”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

The Shawarma has just been great and so was the crispy honey chicken. Some people complain about decreasing quality, I can say if this is bad quality, for me it is good enough. Very busy place there and it is amazing to watch the man who is doing the Shawarmas with high speed. Just go there!

“Excellent Shawarma, Chicken Tasqa”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

First things first, you dont go to AlBake for service, ambience and the like. You go there for good food and value for money.
Their shawarma is good and famous but I also like their Chicken Tasqa and Chicken Afghani both roasted forms of chicken. Other nice dishes are chicken fried rice and chilli potato.
Important tip is that only their original New Friends Colony center is good, other centers like the one in Sarita Vihar though have better seating and ambience but their food quality is low. Shawarma there is pathetic with a lot of oil oozing out. I have been there thrice with same experience.

“Excellent Shawarmas”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

If you judge a restaurant by its looks, please do not visit this one in NFC. Very shabby, resembles more of a thela. Their kitchen is so horrible that you would throw up what you ate.
However, if you can withstand this, do try their chicken shawarma and you will forget everything else. Very soft with tender pieces of chicken rolled into a roomali roti with mayonnaise.. they just melt into your mouth. You just cant stop at having one plate and end up ordering another. Do try it once...

Disclaimer: I last visited this place way back in 2010. hope they still maintain the same quality..

“Shawarma Lovers Paradise :-)”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Located at the back of community center, this is among the oldest place in NFC Community center. Though give a feeling of old road side restuarent but food tastes like made by experienced chefs. This place is famous from a long time for its Shawarmas. During the lunch and evening u might have to wait for at-least 30 min to get your order if you have arrived late. You will love the mayonese dip and spicy raita served with it. As soon as chicken Shawarma enters your mouth, it will melt inside and will leave you cravings for more. Everything is made fresh in front of you. WHole of delhi come here to eat Al-Bake's Shawrma. The owner is a lady whom you can find sitting there during lunch or evening when there is rush. She has been there for almost 20 years now.
The other stuff is also amazing, mughlai, soups and chinese food are mouth watering too and they serve good quantity.

I have never been disappointed by their servings. So if you don't mind eating delicious food without thinking about the location and place then this is your place to dig in next.

You wont regret. Incase you don't wanna eat there, you can have it packed and eat at home but mind you it taste more delicious when served hot then and there.

For Veg lovers they make Veg-Paneer-Shawrma and its quite tasty too. you wont be disspointed.

“DINNER”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

the Shahi Paneer was good, the briyani was tasty and the mutton curry was good but spicy. However, for people coming from Middle East, this restaurant should reduce adding green chillies.

This is our 3rd visit.
