Super boutique hotel on the outskirts of Delhi. Staff are exceptional - helpful and friendly and always put the guest first which makes you feel at ease from the minute you walk into reception - nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. The breakfast is very good and the roof top restaurant for dinner is even better. For dinner, go for the tandori chicken or lamb curry - both very good quality and reasonably priced. Again, restaurant staff are superb.

Rooms are clean and functional. Don't expect the Ritz - rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need for a comfortable stay with a hint of old India mixed in. Free business centre and and library and the only slight problem with the hotel is its location - takes ages to get to the main sites by car (same can be said about everywhere in Delhi) but there is a metro station next door to the hotel which would make it a lot easier - 25mins to town centre by metro. Had a great stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a boutique hotel with service that can not be bettered. Will certainly stay here again if I return to Delhi..

I had book this hotel mainly based on the review i saw on trip advisor. I stayed to this place for 3 days. It is a very quiet place. The staff are very helpful and u feel like home.
The restaurant on the roof was one of my favorite place, the food is just perfect and its was a good place to read a book or just have a drink.
It was my third stay in Delhi and for sure when I ll come back I ll return to this place.
Thanks again for all u done for me.

This is more than just a clean boutique hotel with good location, delicious food and fantastic rooms. Although upper price range, it is good value because of the fantastic service, the included massage/ spa and the experience of the house.

We checked up reviews of Shanti Home prior to booking a room.

Upon check in, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised - the overall service standards, cleanliness and concept of the room were excellent. The food helpings were more than modest, and the quality great.

Tucked into a neighbourhood called Janakpuri, it was away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi, and provided a retreat of sorts in the evening. Had initially weighed the option of picking a hotel on central Delhi, but were happy that we finally stayed a little away.

I would recommend this as a great option, and am returning next year myself.

Shanti Home is clean B&B but I just cant stand up to the scent of burning incense sticks. With a lot of old furniture, photographs and wall decorations, it made the place feel creepy, and also the dimmed lighting contributes towards the creepiness of the place.

I stayed in Jaipur room, and it does not have a TV and I dont think the heater is working. I was sleeping in the chilly weather of Delhi.

I don't like the Rooftop restaurant. It's too polluted from the nearby pollution that Delhi is best-known as. However, try the Tandoori chicken and you will be surprised that it is muy delicioso !

The staff is very helpful and friendly. I like them all.

We stayed at Shanti Home for the first three nights of our trip to India. We enjoyed our stay, though would agree with a previous review that it seemed expensive given location and facilities relative to other hotels we stayed in during our stay. Our room (one of the more expensive ones) was comfortable, clean and uniquely decorated - including a bright blue bathroom. The hotel was quiet at night, no problems sleeping. There was a TV lounge and free internet access, which was helpful. The rooftop restaurant was very good, serving an array of traditional indian food (butter chicken / tandoori chicken both excellent) and the staff throughout were lovely and very helpful.

Our biggest reservation would be the location of the hotel - the metro (though very efficient and clean) was a short, but not particularly pleasant, walk away and then a good half hour to central Delhi. There didn't seem to be much to see/explore in the area around the hotel, so this was the only real option for going out.

Overall, we chose Shanti Home on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews but I think if we were to return to Delhi we would probably choose to stay somewhere more central.
