Four of us stayed at Shanti Home recently. A real feel of India in a local small hotel. Quaint, cute, interesting with lovely attentive staff. Take breakfast and dinner on the attractive roof top bar / dining room. Terrific food from very skilled chefs. We can't recommend this hotel enough. We loved it! And they are to open one in Goa soon. Can't wait!!

This is a terrific little hotel. Was picked up from the airport which was very helpful. Hotel staff go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met. Pooja gave us a lovely welcome which was great after the chaos for Delhi driving. Restaurant on roof top is quaint, and the food is exceptional and the hospitality is so very good and considerate. Cant fault this hotel, nicely furnished, large bathroom, all very clean and complimentary bottled water in the room. Little extras like this make this a very personal place. Hotel staff helped us with arrangements for a driver for a day to sights, and also helped another day with taking us to the metro and helping with the ticket purchase. Nothing seems too much trouble. Thank you very much for a good stay and helped with the introduction to Delhi!

Room Tip: stayed in Bollywood room which was more than adequate, but internal window which meant a view of the...

This little hotel in West New Dehli was a delight from every aspect. At the top I would put the caring and considerate staff that helped from arranging an efficient day of touring to navigating the Metro station. They went above and beyond any hotel staff I have ever encountered. The rooms were nicely appointed, very comfortable, clean, and roomy.
My hat is off to the chef of the roof-top restaurant, every meal delicious and beautiful presented.
The owner is a gem and again, the staff was brilliant. Highly recommended.

Our two stays at Shanti Home were highlighted by the best service we have ever received at a hotel, and this includes some of the top rated hotels in the world over 50 years of travelling in about 60 countries.

We arrived at 6:30am and the manager was there to greet us along with staff the moment we stepped out of the taxi unannnounced, had refreshments brought while we registered, let us use whatever facilities we wished to freshen up, directed us to the lounge and restaurant for breakfast and had our room (booked for that night) ready by 9:00. No extra charge, and everything was done with a smile and honest desire to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A calm place in a busy city, with free Wi-Fi. Rooms were spacious and everything worked, which is not always the case in even quite expensive places in India.

The food in the restaurant (open 24hrs) was as good as we had in India, and any variation we desired brought the chef out and was accommodated. Alcoholic drinks had very reasonable markups.

Extra services such as car and driver and airport delivery were handled easily and very reasonably.

I will not consider staying anywhere else in Delhi, even though some other places may be more conveniently located.

Overall, this was a really lovely, small hotel with most hospitable staff. The "O Calcutta" room was very spacious and well decorated. The roof terrace restaurant was quaint and the food was delicious. My 9 year old daughter traveled with us, and it was a perfect starting point for her introduction to India. The staff was so kind and welcoming to her and I really appreciated that. We took a cooking class on our last day in India, and it became the highlights of her trip! I totally recommend the cooking class for anyone that stays at Shanti Home. The massages were not quite what we expected, but we decided it was an interesting experience. The hotel was very helpful in organizing our transportation around town and to/from the airport. Our driver to the Taj Mahal did not speak English, so that was a bit challenging to navigate our day in Agra. I expected that the driver would be much more helpful. The hotel felt a bit far from some of the shopping areas we wanted to visit, but then everything in Delhi takes a while to get to. I liked the quiet location of the hotel, so it was worth the longer drives to get around town. Overall, it was a very nice boutique hotel and I would highly recommend it.
