My husband and I wanted to see the real Old Delhi, so we opted for this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. First of all, you can arrange a free pick up from the airport, which is great - trust me, you wouldn't want to take public transport and then drag your luggage through dirty labyrinths of Old Delhi. Second, the Hotel is situated moments away from Jama Masjid, and is only ten minutes walk to Red Fort and Chandni Chawk.

The hotel offers free wifi in the lobby and free breakfast. The food is decent - all freshly prepared and relatively mild. It is made to order, so you can always choose eggs and toasts to be on a safe side. We tried local food there on our first day in India and didn't get any food poisoning - which is a good sign. Staff is very friendly - will give you their recommendations and provide all necessary information and directions. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

NB: The 5 stars I am giving to this hotel are different from 5 stars I would give to, say Taj Mahal Palace, but it is a different type of hotel, different price range and you should therefore have different expectations. This place has exceeded ours.

I chose this Hotel as I wanted to stay in Old Delhi. It really is an oasis in what is a chaotic, crowded mess. Located down a lane you really are confronted by the people, the animals, the dirt, and traffic. Walk inside and you have the friendly staff, the clean, freshly painted rooms, the AC that works like a charm, and the necessity of wifi / intternet in the foyer that works. Breakfast was basic but good, the airport pickup was efficient and welcome when arriving in a new city, and the reception was helpful.
Ask for a room with a balcony which at least provides an outlook, top floor is the best. Other, cheaper room are internal with no windows. A bonus is there is a great rooftop where the staff are happy to serve food and drinks to. Overlooks the huge mosque nearby and a real treat at night.

Yes it is not the Hilton but it is comfortable and you stay right near Red Fort, the old markets including the spice markets, which are worth visiting, and there is even a McDonald's nearby which is great for an icy drink on a hot day. I loved this hotel for its charm and location. It is budget but very comfortable. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby, try Karims, but the hotel food is fine. Check out the photo from my hotel room. yes not great but you can see the Red Fort in the distance and there is always something to watch.

Only negative I can report is that the TV reception was poor but there didn't seem to be much to watch anyway even though there was about 70 stations - mostly in hindi.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

Great location for Delhi, right next to the Red Fort and Jama Masjid which are sites not to be missed. The hotel is located in Chandini Chowk, the madly busy bazzar but the market has sites you would not like to miss. Quite an experience. Thought the hotel is in a not so clean lane, the place itself was clean serving vegetarian food

Great hotel, in old Delhi! Stayed for eight nights. Staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. Hotel was quiet, affordable and very safe. Airport pick up was complimentary and on time. Driver and hotel representative were friendly and welcoming, providing a smooth introduction to Delhi. Area is great for walking and exploring. Roof top offers great views of surrounding area and Red Fort (a five minute walk away). Recommended!

I booked this hotel for me and my daughter for my first 3 nights in india to reduce the culture shock. The rooms where very clean, hot shower and AC worked well. The hotel was very silent the total opposite from what was going on outside.Located in chandni chowk the hotel is close to the red fort and jama masjid mosque. So you can get out of the hotel and jump wright into the noisy india. The staff was great the restaurant just veggies but for a meat lover like me i enjoyed every bite,- they also got kingfisher beer "strong" not on the menu but u get it nice and cold.Don't forget to eat on the roof top they will pull out a table and chairs when u arrive and enjoy the view from there. We ordered in the hotel a day trip to agra the driver was great and with a lot of knowledge and the guide for taj mahal was outstanding ,also that he bring us at the end of visiting taj mahal to a stone carver family to show us the process of carving marble very interesting but in the end you don't have to buy anything. Just in the hotel don't trust the weak up call if so we will be there until now.
Another advice : When u arrive there in the night or morning
don't be afraid of all the people sleeping there around in the streets in the day light it looks all different .
They charged us (double room) 2000 rupees a night and 600 rupees for early check in but it worth it !!

Room Tip: In the second floor you can see the other roof tops and got less noise and smell from the street

Stayed here as it was on doorstep of red fort and the huge mosque, and in old delhi. The hotel is almost hidden down an alley though easy to find at night due to its neon sign. Its very clean and efficient with good staff. On its doorstep is the old bycyle market, and a huge vibrrant (mad)open air market between the red fort and the mosque. At the end of the road is chadni chowk with alsorts of shops and a macdonalds which is pretty handy late on, as the area shops shut up at 9pm and has air con. Despite this busy sounding location its very quite, down the alley, and the hotel is much bigger inside than the small reception area hints at. This would be a challenging location for a some, but its great. If getting there by taxi/auto be prepared to walk down the market road to the alleyway, as it so busy its tricky for drivers that dont know the way, The hotel appeared popular with regular travelers- recommended.

Room Tip: some rooms are bigger and smarter than others:I think those facing the alley eway rather than the ba...

A gem in this part of town.
Great staff, safe and affordable restaurant and great views from the roof.
Not hard to find once one gets to know the area.
Deserving all the good reviews, no surprises, airport pickup smooth and timely.
Recommended.
