I stayed at Hotel Samrat for only one night and found the hotel to be just average. While the room was clean, bed linen was slightly worn out. Bathroom fittings were also partly rusted and health faucet was only partly functional. The toiletries provided were of good quality. Staff was also courteous and helpful. Overall ambience, however, was neither exciting nor soothing - it was somewhat drab.

ןf you can avoid staying in this hotel –avoid

stayed one night in this hotel as a gift of an organization.
this hotel is a hotel that is past was better than his future.
looks like a government run hotel in all aspects .
I rate hotels according to 6 conditions:
1. location -is very good.
2. Room and facilities.- well- everything looks old and unattended. Low standard.
3. Breakfast - bad.
4. Price - there are many types of deals so i couldn't relate.
5. service - the workers are nice and try to help but the conditions of the hotel is bad.
6. Overall feeling –would I come back -no.

Room Tip: if you don't have to - try to find better hotel.

I don't think , any body can imagine checking into a five star delhi hotel at a tariff of rs.4000/-. But I was surprised to have done so . I booked the hotel online and the tariff charged was Rs.4000/- per night. It was awonderful experience . Very cozy room and a sound sleep. Dinner was served in my room . food was very good and reasonably priced. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was wonderful.

Attended my friend's wedding here and the place was in a very prime location near high security zones of Delhi, but the Hotel's best part was the Lounge which we dint use unfortunately :-( the wedding hall was managed well and the food was good. Good arrangements were made for the wedding :)

Government run hotel not well managed at all. It ahs recently outsourced its F&B to Shiro and lab and other which are the only thing which brings the crowd to this hotel. Bad rooms and Bad service. Although the location is amazing but the hotel doesnt do justice to what it stands for.

The hotel is one of the lush hotels of Delhi. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city and it reminds you of the grandeur of the city. The entrance is grand and so is the lobby. That the hotel houses several government offices adds to the pomp and show with top bureaucrats frequenting the place. The hotel is run by the Ashok group and the hospitality is immaculate in the place, the rooms grand and the aura awe inspiring. The food is great and so is the service of all staff. The hotel also houses a helath club as well as beauty saloon which is frequented by residents and visitors both. All in all good place to stay and not very costly too.

This place smells once you get inside the room. I think this is the first time I am actually taking the time to write a review on how poor the service is at a hotel. I believe this is government owned which might be why none of the employees seem to care if you complain about anything. They just nod their head and don't take any action. Mostly looking for tip money. Avoid it stinks and bathroom smells too!
