We stayed here unexpectedly for one night after our train was cancelled during a tour of India; it was definitely the poorest night’s stay of our trip. Reception is fine but upstairs the corridors are dank and depressing, the carpet needs replacing. I think we had a ‘Standard’ room which looked fine and was a good size but the bed was uncomfortable and felt damp, the teacups and the glasses in the bathroom were not clean, the bathroom itself needs updating. Breakfast was OK and staff cheerful, this looks like a well-placed city business hotel. Sadly not an enjoyable night’s stay.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back overlook a stadium

Proximity to Cannought circle is the best thing about this hotel. Overall hotel was nice, but the LCD provided in the rooms should have been bigger.

Room Tip: Chose rooms facing east / hockey stadium.

A wonderful stay having the feel of stay at a five star hotel. The location of the hotel is best in Delhi. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms fitted with all amenities. The hotel has been designed to give ultimate class of luxury and comfort to its guests. The restaurant serves excellent buffet breakfast and dinner keeping in view the most demanding and discerning guests.

My first time stay at the Hotel Connaught. Close to Connaught Place (or Rajiv Chowk). Not easy to find though. About three quarters of a km from both the Rajiv Gandhi Metro, or the Shivaji Stadium (airport express metro). But remember you will need to take an auto when you got luggage, and that is not easy. Also you will not get any autos from outside the hotel, but will need to walk at least upto the connaught palce outer ring.
The hotel is simple and basic. No frills, strictly business stuff. Adequate room to spend the night. Breakfast is average fare. Just fill in and move out.
The best part is the staff are helpful and courteous, and help make your stayy better.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a decent view. Chose a front facing room.

We had none of the previous reviewers issues, our room was ready and waiting when we arrived and it was clean and was more than adequate for a city hotel. We used the hotel restaurant and chose to go from the a la carte menu rather than the buffet which itself looked very nice. The quality of the food and service were excellent. For a one or two night stay we would certainly use this hotel again.
