Location-wise, the hotel is based a few minutes walk from New Delhi rail station as well as from the main bazaar, where most of the budget hotels in the Paharganj area are located. Good access to the metro and not far (less than 15 walk) from Connaught place either.
The rooms (I stayed in a comfort double), while not particularly large, are modern, well equipped (safe, desk, hangers, large mirror, towels, toiletries), and clean. My room was facing the front (ie arakashan road) and thus provided access to a balcony which was shared with several other rooms. The downside to this was that it was very noisy, even in the night, so would recommend choosing a rooms facing away from the road or bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
Service was excellent. From the front desk staff, to Ashok the security guard (who kindly offered to walk me all the way to my train platform at 5:30am), everyone was very friendly and helpful - comparable if not better than some of the 5 star hotels I've stayed at in India.
Overall, Bloomrooms offered calm amongst the chaos of Delhi, all at a very affordable price. Excellent value for money.More
