Our stay (16th to 22nd December 2012) was the guest house equivalent of having a pair of caring arms around us. My family and I were treated to holistic, warm and sincere hospitality in an very attractive home in a quiet residential part of Delhi. Memorable masala ginger tea and delicious breakfasts marked the start of our fascinating days in Delhi. We are so grateful to Avnish and Ushi for their warmheartedness and generosity. They made my fourth visit to their exciting city the best ever and showed my husband and two children a first time welcome they will always cherish.

We were warmly welcomed by our gracious hosts Ushi and Avnish into their stylish and beautiful home. Ushi was extremely helpful advising us on our scheduled tour of Delhi, given that areas we planned to visit were cordoned off due to demonstrations; she even phoned our guide and suggested a revised rendezvous for us.

We stayed two nights in two different rooms, both were lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were able to leave the bulk of our luggage at Master when we spent the intervening night at Agra, which we greatly appreciated as it made our travelling so much easier.

Sadly our planned trip to Agra and our subsequent very early departure for Bikaner meant we were at Master for far less time than this inviting B&B warranted - we hope we can return soon and get better acquainted!

On our first trip to India (Oct-Nov 2010), we stayed at Master Guesthouse. Although it was only for only a few days, we were welcomed like old friends. We were well looked after by our lovely hosts, Ushi and Avnish, who gave us some great cultural and local knowledge, and made us feel safe (as it was our first major overseas trip). Our room was beautiful and spacious, always clean with a beautiful bathroom and a small, leafy outside sitting area overlooking the street. We were treated to delicious home cooked meals, a wide variety of tea, and the relaxation we needed. Avnish took us to his local temple which was a lovely experience, and Ushi spent time with us at breakfast, and when we returned from our tours chatting and making us feel truly at home. We still cherish our time with Ushi and Avnish at Master Guesthouse, and will absolutely return when we next visit India.

This was a wonderful place to stay my last two nights in India. Avnish is a gracious and helpful host, the staff is friendly, tasty breakfast, comfortable, charming rooms. I stayed in two different rooms & spent a few hours before I left for the airport in the small single room--all were lovely. I highly recommend a stay here--such a different experience from a hotel and a special way to end a trip to India.

Master Guest House is a great place to stay in Delhi. It is located in a nice area (Karol Bagh), not to far from the metro station (10 min walking, or 3 mins by cyclorickshaw). The Guesthouse is on a quite road, from where you will not hear traffic noise. The rooms are very big, clean, and nicely decorated. There is 24-hour hot water. Breakfast and food are good. Ushi and Anvish (the owners) are very friendly and will do their best to make you feel at home. The staff in general will take good care of you during your staty. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: There are a couple of rooms with a terrace.

We first stayed at the Master 14 years ago and have tried to book a number of times since without success, as we very much enjoyed the first time. Happily this time we managed to do so by booking a year ahead and stayed two nights. We were in the bottom room which was clean and comfortable and we had the same great service as previously. Avnish has introduced additional attractions/visits since our last trip and one of these was a the trip to the Lodi Gardens. (which I would recommend as they appear to be off the tourist track and not so crowded). I think these are an excellent idea.

Stayed here after finding on trip advisor. As a first timer to India we wanted to have the first couple of nights booked. Using Master couldn't have been better. I booked by email and organised an airport transfer through the hotel. We were met at the airport with a letter addressed to me and felt comfortable from the start. The room was lovely, comfy bed and clean and the staff exemplary. Maybe a little on the pricey side for some but well worth the money. Especially when u need a couple of days to get on your feet. Staff helped with sightseeing and ordering taxis. This will be my first stop if I visit Delhi again.
