We stayed here for four nights in late December. The staff were delightful and so keen to be of help -very friendly and polite. There was no problem/no charge at all to book taxis, auto rickshaws, help with luggage, book restaurants, etc. The room was good - on the second floor. It was a good size - clean, quiet, modern decor, air conditioning, hot shower, hairdryer and a good size bathroom. It also had a safe, free Wifi and was very comfortable with free bottled water every day. Unfortunately the fog/smog in Delhi prevented us from appreciating any views from the rooftop terrace but it looked nice up there... in better weather I'm sure it would be good. We got a erally great rate. This rate and the quality of the room/decor compared very favourably to a hotel booked for a later stay in the Karol Bagh area. Breakfast was good/OK - served in a lovely room. We didn't eat there in the evening. Following a recommendation on the Delhi Food Tour, we went to the Indian Accent restaurant at The Manor Hotel for Christmas Eve - a truly fabulous tasting/chef's menu (veg and non-veg).
Sometimes auto rickshaw drivers couldn't find the hotel and we struggled a bit for a landmark. The entry road is a bit tricky to find and a bit unprepossessing. We tried saying Sukhdev Vihar Road just off main Mathura Road but need a better reference point. (The hotel had printed maps on the back of their business cards but still a bit tricky to find...) No problem with taxi drivers/rickshaws booked by the hotel though. It also had good access to the airport. We didn't use the Metro Station but I travelled to the Lotus/Baha'i Temple from Karol Bagh later on my trip and the nearest stop to this was on the Violet Line - Kalkaji Mandir. (Not sure if this is the nearest stop for the hotel?? You'd need to check with the the hotel) The Metro service was excellent with the first carriage of every train for women only.
