“Tranquil retreat in New Delhi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2012

Bloomrooms was a perfect retreat for a first timer to New Delhi! Delhi can be a very busy and overwehelming city, and coming back to a clean, comfortable, quiet hotel is ideal. The amenities are great; free mineral water dispensers, free wifi, a free shuttle to popular sites and just round the corner from the metro. The hospitality was excellent, the staff always happy to help and advise. The rooms themselves are spotlessly clean, lovely hot showers, and beds extremely comfortable, plus a large tv.
All in all an ideal hotel for exploring Delhi - I would recommend bloomrooms to friends without reservation!
(if I was to nit-pick, noise does travel through the walls, but this is a very minor point and wouldn't stop me staying here again)

Wow! What else could I say? It was the best hotel I've stayed in India! This is just perfect...really! Neat, clean, nice, amazing service...what else could you ask for? I was sincerely blown away by this hotel... especially for the price we've paid for. Thank you Bloomrooms for making our stay in Delhi so special!

Delhi is not easy on newcomers, and this hotel nail every thing on the right spot. Late arrival? A warm welcome. Do not know how to begin? Friendly and helpful staff. Problems with location? Free shuttle to basic must go places. But topping everything: clean, new, hot shower, no frills and an amazing bed. No reason why not to go here.

I arrived late at night and was wowed by the simplicity of the room, interspersed with little yellow decor anecdotes. The shower, was the most invigorating part of the room. I loved every shower, which was perfect after a day out. The staff were attentive and friendly. One of the staff even walked me to the ATM, and was the interpreter when I had to deal with the bank manager. Water is made available 24-7 via water dispenser and the hotel even provides their own water bottle for you to fill up. The little cafe has limited food but it will do if you are too lazy to go out and perfect to sit and have that coffee while you are surfing ( the whole hotel is wifi enabled). The metro is just a hop and a skip away . Will I return ? Yes !

I was there for 3 days for an official visit to Delhi. It was 14 degrees when we landed and I was down with flu. Found the rooms soooo comfortable and the bathroom was really good with consistant hot water. Room n bathroom were ultra clean. Not a single thing to complain. Staff were extremely good n helpful. Either for taxi service, food or anything you'll always get their help even beyond your expectation.

Airport pick up was also well organized. Cafe was ok and clean. But I didn't find food so interesting. Cafe needs more options such as pasta, noodle, burger etc. Breakfast was also not so interesting. But very clean.

Concept of bloomrooms was amazing and this is THE place for a business traveler or a short visit. I would certainly recommend this to anyone. And if I visit Delhi again, I'd certainly select bloomrooms without hesitation.

Anyone who is in Delhi for a while will know that what you see is not often what you get but Bloomroom fulfills all expectations.

The hotel is new, neat and nice. No frills but who needs that when the staff is attentive and helpful, the rooms are clean and fittings and amenities are of high quality. There is a water dispenser when one gets free water, a free shuttle to send one to nearby locations and free local phone calls. Breakfast is good and filling and due to a limited menu, the cafe allows one to order from a nearby outlet and allows one to use its plates and cutleries. How absolutely hospitable.

I booked into a single room, something I had to do directly through the hotel website - I like it but missed a writing table as I was there to work. Still I understand that you get what you pay for so I am not complaining.

Hi ICDC,

We're really glad you enjoyed your stay at bloomrooms!

By the sound of it you booked a Compact Single Room for your stay this time around. Our Compact Rooms are designed for people on the go who spend minimum time inside their room and maximum time out on business or exploring the city, that's why you won't find a work desk in these rooms.

Next time we suggest you book a Standard Single or a Standard Queen Room if you require a desk and a little more space to get some work done.

We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Safe travels,

Nice, clean, well-designed rooms, friendly staff and easy accessibility to the Delhi metro makes this a great stay for business travelers and non-Indian tourists. The room furnishings are thoughtfully designed (I spent a good 45 mins appreciating them) .. complete with shower door handles that Donald Norman won't complain about, and single lever shower controls. The wifi is great. The Amici cafe serves up a decent breakfast.

Although I would pick Bloomrooms without second thought on a business trip, we (an Indian couple with a kid) did not find it very suitable for us as a family. Here are some factors to consider -

1. The hotel does not have elevators. So elderly folk may want to ask for rooms on the ground floor.

2. You can't get Indian food right there and need to take a short walk to the nearby market area. You feel this when you long for a hot masala chai on a cold Dec night in Delhi! ... and the market area is mostly closed in the morning hours.

3. Many rooms (I believe most of them) have see-through glass shower areas - i.e. an inside wall of the shower room is just unfrosted glass. This is likely to be a modesty issue for many Indian families. Ask for a room with a closed shower area if this is an issue.

4. If you're a couple with a kid, you need a room with a king-sized bed, period. The "queen" sized beds available here won't do (though they're otherwise very comfortable). .. or take up a triple bed room. Overall, if you're traveling as a family with kids, I'd recommend you consider other hotels.

And one more thing .... You HAVE to like yellow! There's a LOT of it!

Hi Kumar,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, it's much appreciated.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay at bloomrooms and it's good to hear you'd come back to stay with us on a business trip. We are primarily a business hotel and we understand your comments relating to staying with a family. Next time we would definitely recommend you take a Value Triple Room if you are staying with a child, this room is designed specifically to accommodate two or more people. This room also has a closed bathroom so you should not face any privacy issues here.

The Amici Cafe at bloomrooms is currently exploring the addition of Indian food to the menu. We'd be very interested to hear what specific items you'd like to see on the menu. If you have the time then let us know your suggestions at wearelistening@bloomrooms.com

We look forward to welcoming you again soon!
