This free attraction is worth the 45 stop. Here you get the history of Indira Gandhi and her children, mostly through old newspaper clippings and quotes. The self guided tour ends where she was assassinated.

The collection of photographs and artifacts of Nehru-Gandhi family was amazing and stirring for me as a specialist in Indian studies and for my mother as a fan of Rajiv Gandhi! It was she who asked me to visit that place twice in two weeks!

Indira Gandhi museum preserve some of the belongings of Indira Gandhi, including the sari she was wearing when she was assassinated. There is a compilation of photographs, which record the Nationalist movement and the Nehru-Gandhi family. The spot where Indira Gandhi was assassinated is enclosed in a glass frame. One can still see the dried blood spots. The residence turned museum half part is museum other part covered with glass is the residence...Many ppl come and visit to see the belongings and where assasination took place.

Me and my wife visited Indira Gandhi memorial on 17th April. This is the last home where Late Mrs. Gandhi was stayed and infront of this house that she fell down to the bullets of two security guards .. the one of the very traggic incident in the indian history. The visit is very touching. We can see many belongings of Late Indiraji and Rajiv Gandhi here. At last you would also see the reamins of clothes Rajiv worn when he was assassinated at Sriperupathur. I shocked to see it live. So far I only heard about that. No one can leave this place without grief.

It;s definitely worth to visit Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum in Delhi. It offers enriching information to introduce Indira Gandhi family, who, is a big part of representative of Indian culture in modern time. It helps a lot to learn about India and how its political situation develops.
