Owner description: An oasis in an otherwise crowded, dusty city, Lodi Gardens is the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon admiring nature.

its a great neat and clean place, couples spoil its name unecessarily. Gr8 place for winters sun or early morning in summers. Walks or parties all work well with this place. and its free

These gardens - and the building within it - are a real oasis in the chaos of Delhi.

We spent a few hours here just before flying home after a 3 week business / holiday trip to India. There is lots of space, places to sit and walk. the buildings are interesting too.

If you, like me, find being in New Delhi amazing but at times stressful I'd advice you to visit Lodi Gardens. It has open grassfields where you can just sit down and chill out in the sun, or sit under a tree for some shade.

In the heart of the hustle and bustle of Delhi this garden offers a peaceful retreat. We caught it on a day where a number of schools were having school trips to the grounds however it still offered a calm place to take a wander through the trees while snapping a few shots of the shrines dotted on the park grounds.

Nice place to visit if you have time and want to escape the manic city streets.
