India Gate was originally called as the All India War Memorial. A truly mesmerizing structure standing tall for the 82,000 fallen soldiers of undivided Indian Army during the first world war.
One can walk around the triumphal arch and read the soldiers names engraved on the gate.
The ever burning Flame of the Immortal Soldier invoke one's respect for those fallen soldiers.

I was travelling with the Rikshaw from Gandhi Smriti to New Delhi train station. The Rickshaw driver was so nice to show me India Gate, the Parliament and Govern Palace.
India Gate is big but very small compared to the one in Mumbai !
Also you cannot compare it to the Arc de Triumph in Paris.
Worth visiting? Maybe the sighgseeing from the Rickshaw can be enough!

Having been to Gateway of India in Mumbai, I just had to make a point to visit the India gate and to be honest, I probably like Gateway more just because there was just more in the surrounding to do while India gate is a tourist attraction and nothing more. But still must do in Delhi

Lovely park and nice to watch changing of the guards but otherwise pretty much what you see is what you get
