Standing high and grand in its own splendour, the monument has a scent of pride to show to all visitors. Nothing much to see, but the area is surrounded by gardens and lots of roadside sellers selling tea, coffee, ice creams, and other snacks.

Come early in the morning and you might see an interesting performance of military guards during post shifting. Very much an attraction and worth seeing.

War memorial in New Dehli. Nice park. Can get very crowded. Visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

India Gate is much more bigger than what it looks like on T.V. It is very tall and huge. It was built for Queen Victoria of England.

The Monument itself is nice as those things go, not nearly as impressive as alot of other Indian sites. But its a large area where people fly kites, have picnics etc. There are food and souviner vendors here also. It was definitely more enjoyable watching the people enjoy the different activities than seeing the actual monument itself.

The monument is a center of family activity for the locals so it can be swamped with people. Watch out for the kids selling trinkets. They have a hard time understanding, "No Thanks"
