I was wandering around Haus Khas and heard some affluent 20 something's debating where to eat lunch, so I asked them for a suggestion - and ended up here.

They have a pizza fruite de mare -no cheese, for the lactose intolerant amongst us! - and it was really good. Lots of shrimp, the tomato sauce was sweet, and it was a good size (I should not have earn so much of it!).

Tea afterwards came with decent biscotti.

As a native New Yorker who knows her pizza, I was very surprised by how good this was. Ambiance was fine and service good. Not particularly expensive.

Recommend.

Since a week before I dined at Cafe Diva and was really delighted with the food and level of service, in spite of place having air conditioning problem, I felt like giving a try to the sister restaurant in trendy Hauz Khas village unaware that I was heading for a disappointing experience. I was not aware that the place where this restaurant opened used to be a earlier restaurant, and the new entrant did not make any effort to upgrade or do much cosmetic work to enhance the ambiance of the place. The table we got was rickety and wobbling but what can one do, when that is the only table available for two on that busy night. We were presented with a wine list which was a smaller version of the Cafe Diva. Wine I ordered was not available but suggested another wine instead, which we readily agreed to have. While waiting for the wine, waiter appeared for our order. I told him I will wait for the wine before I order. We waited for about 10 minutes but no wine served as yet, even though waiter kept appearing to take our food order, which we quite deftly kept putting it off, waiting for the wine. Finally wine appeared and it was a bottle of red, the name I do not remember at this time. From experience of Cafe Diva, where the wine red wine served, little chilled, so justly, to bring the wine to the cellar temperature, this one was red hot. I guess the wine was sitting outside, in Delhi's 45 degree temperature. I tried explaining to the waiter but he was too eager to take our order, rather listen to my whine about the warm wine. We order pizza for appetizer, with ham and salami topping, which was very good. I tried melon with parma ham but was disappointed as the melon was not quite ripe. Having felt the place needs to be fine tuned, we decided to call the night. Will I go back again. I am sure would as I am sure the name behind the restaurant will fix the quirks and have the results of Cafe Diva after all the name behind these restaurants is the same.

We have been to Diva Piccola twice in the last few weeks. The food is outstanding, the prices sensible and the service decent. Its a small place so making a reservation is a must. It is full most times. We have done dinner and lunch. The menu is that of a typical trattoria. I would recommend the Pizza's. The starters include a green salad which is fresh. There is an antipasto board which is truly worth trying. The place is child friendly. You may come across a young lady in a chef's outfit talking to guest - Ritu Dalmia who is the owner and also the chef. Don't be worried if she is not around as she has trained her Chef's well and the quality of food is always very good. One think you can be sure off - this place , like the Diva restraunt, uses authentic and fresh ingredients. The only negative - the place can get very loud.
