Owner description: This architectural wonder looks like an enormous lotus blossom, reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House. Too bad the interior isn't even worth a look.

“Bhai Temple”

I had much expectations. though the administration has made reasonably good arrangement but then you have to walk a lot. I did not find any wheel chair around. inside the hall people make lot of noise. During the day the view was not very good. May be night view would have been different.

“Beautiful Flower.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

The peaceful serenity of this beautiful temple are worth the visit, even if it may not be similar to other Indian temples, like the Taj or Qutub. And if you visit at sunset, you are blessed with the most beautiful sights, the amber color that makes the Lotus Temple some alive in a golden glow. Walk along with the Indian locals up the path and behold the beauty that India is famous for. Definitely worth the excursion to escape the loud, chaotic New Delhi. It is distracting though, I kept thinking the petals would open up and a spaceship would fly out...Been watching too many movies I guess. Yes, you have to take off your shoes. Big deal.

“just like sydneys opera house”

beautiful architecture, an oasis in the middle of a fast moving city, very big and green parks around it. friendly tour guides. You have to take of your shoes off while going in there. It was totally a relaxing place for me to visit. Had an amazing time. My kids loved it.

“Absolutely beautiful.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

This beautiful temple looks almost organic from afar, but it is only when you get in you can feel just how "alive" the place really is.
The huge prayer hall inside is beautiful and tranquil.
The architecture of the entire temple is very impressive, and while it is modern building (completed in 1986), it literally oozes atmosphere and tradition.
A 1-hour visit ought to do it.

“Worth it only be serenity is attractive to you”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

Not much in terms of architecture or art. The atmosphere inside is definitely serene. Given the traffic, the parking, the crowds, etc. I would put it lower on my list of places to visit
