Owner description: This architectural wonder looks like an enormous lotus blossom, reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House. Too bad the interior isn't even worth a look.

“Cool outside, boring inside. Only quick visit required.”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

This epic structure is south east Delhi that is mimicking the Sydney Opera (which is much much more impressive) is a major icon of Delhi. The enjoyment of your visit can definitely be impacted by how crowded it is at the Lotus Temple. The outside is great for people who love photography. Inside they don't allow any photography, or even talking. Just can just sit on simple wooden benches and look at the really boring interior design. There really wasn't much about he bahai beliefs, if anything I left more confused than before about the bahai religion. You will also have to take of you shoes to enter the grounds.

“Gorgeous structure in a peaceful setting”

The temple has some lovely architecture that's reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House. Keep in mind that you can't take photos inside.

“Peacefull & tranquile”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

The Grand Structure of Bahai Temple is located at Kalkaji, south of Delhi. This temple of Bahai faith is shaped like a beautiful half bloomed lotus flower, signifying absolute peace and harmony. Made of white marble in 1986, it is one of the great tourist attractions in Delhi that is open to all faiths and religions. After running though all the crowded monuments and places of Delhi it is here you will have moments of absolute peace, calm & tranquility. Tourists are required to remove their shoes and maintain complete silence inside the temple. It is a perfect place for meditation. Temple is supported by excellent library with most hospitable staff, therefore a must to visit for tourists.
