Owner description: This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal and many other Mughal architecture and garden complexes in India.

“Worth seeing”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We went when all the crowds were leaving- late in the afternoon.. We watched the sun set:-)
It is well preserved and was a pleasure to look around. The views of the gardens from the top were beautiful.
Many people say they prefer this to the Taj Mahal. I liked both.
The exhibition with photos is worth looking around.

“Enchanting place”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

After the big disappointment of the Red Fort Huyayun’s Tomb was a treat. The main building was spectacular but what surprised us was how nice the gardens were and how large the whole complex was. It was just a shame that our visit was spoiled to an extent but rather hyper active parties of schoolboys.

“Nice memorial”

I liked these buildings. The Taj in Agra is supposed to have been designed following these architectural lines.

this tomb is more like a garden. it went in the early after noon and stayed until sunset and it was worth every minute. it's very palatial and really makes you feel like you are stepping into history.
