A visit to Chandni Chowk is a must if one wants to feel the vibes of the old Delhi charm. Shop. Treat your taste buds with rich food.
Just walking through the streets gives you a feeling of being a part of the History of Delhi.

Spice Market is amazing, it is difficult to think of a spice you could not buy, the real heart of Old Delhi. Extremely busy, but still felt safe. Massive traffic congestion of cycle rickshaw and people, just keep moving and don't stop. Probably need 3-4 hours to really enjoy, easy to get to on the Metro (Chandi Chowk)

Old Delhi at its best. Rickshaws, auto rickshaws all come together with horns sounding an dsparse respect for traffic laws! The side alleys are entertaining, the spice markets and fabric areas are fascinating. HUGE bags of chillis are carried through the alleys on the heads of porters. The overhead wiring is intriguing. Wear covered shoes NOT open toe sandals!!

What a brilliant area to visit! I highly recommend going here. The bazaars are INSANE...the traffic jams...the people watching. We came here by taxi. The driver parked and told us to get on a Rickshaw. From there, the Rickshaw driver took us to Chandni Chowk. It was a little odd because he didn't want to just leave us somewhere so we rode around all of Chandi Chowk with him. If you want to get off and walk around, you'll have to let them know and be firm. As there was no initial fee established at the beginning, we paid him 200INR for about 3 hours worth of carting us around. A definite experience you must partake in.

Great experience, absolutely crazy atmosphere with hundreds of people, cows, motorbikes, tuktuks, dogs & rickshaws. Its a local market, so good for a look, not to buy wares.
