Being a regular at Taj Chains, I am accustomed to the taj standards and remain bewildered on this property being branded under the 'Vivanta'! To me, it can best be a Gateway Hotel by Taj. Except for the location and the so called heritage value, I was not amused with anything in this property. The rooms are old and the beds stiff and one has to maneuver the small lifts and the long zig-zag corridors to reach your room. The buffet breakfast is limited as compared to other Vivanta Hotels and the in-room dining also not so superlative. The best facet of this property is its location to the buzzing Khan Market which is super place to spend your evenings shopping or just pubbing around. Ideally, a business hotel with not much fuss.

Dear Guest,

Greetings from Vivanta By Taj – Ambassador, New Delhi.

At the outset, I would like to thank you for sparing time and posting your review for our hotel on Trip Advisor.

Your comments regarding ‘small lift’ has been noted, please note due to space constraint our elevators can carry maximum of four persons (340 kgs) as load. Regarding ‘buffet breakfast limited’, I have taken up the same with our Executive Chef and he will personally look into the same. Its important for any organization to stay alive to guest experiences and such feedback pushes all of us to perform better.

With regard to your comment ‘old room’, please note the Hotel is 69 years old and also one of the Heritage property, the upgradation process is under the planning phase.

I do look forward to meeting you on your next visit.

Kind regards,

Sumeet Taneja

Stayed for two nights so did get a chance to explore more but food was good and staff was courteous. The rooms and bathroom does not match with other Vivanta properties. It needs little renovation. I had a pleasant sleep but the bed was little noisy and needed repair. Balcony door was jammed and could not be locked from inside. Wifi internet was let down as it was not working properly. Internet being paid one, needed to be accurate and fast. I used it for 10-15mins and erroneously the system exhausted my hourly limit. Did not use spa or swimming pool

Like many places in India, service is the key. Everything about the hotel was great except for the hotel is a little run down in place.
The staff makes up for any shortages.
The Internet is a little slow. But it is faster in the business office.
The hot water in the shower never got hot a couple times.
The restaurant staff was awesome. Always accommodating.
The neighborhood was great. Walking distance to Kahn Market.
No spa but they have a masseuse in the workout area. Closed doors of course. Foot massage for an hour for only 900 rupees??? That's $14 US - Come on!
Beds are a tad hard but not bad.
Spacious rooms.

Room Tip: They all seemed quiet. Room 221 was great for a couple.

as a taj legacy, this hotel is a good option for business travelers travelling to delhi and surrounding NCR region for business purposes. And if you want a hotel with good land-marking and location address along with luxury this is the hotel you must try.

This is an old property. Good location, next to metro station, khan market.

Lots of space inside very large clean room with a few antique furniture. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom is large with old but functional fixtures. Bathtub had few visible cracks, wish they get replaced. Average amenities.

All the staff are exceptionally courteous and helpful, always with smile, greets by name, very personal, at home experience.

Breakfast was good, but not fabulous. Since it was crowded inside, decided to sit outside, but was constantly bugged by flies. Would sincerely hope those are managed better.

Overall a pleasant experience.
