Centrally located. Room size was too big with a perfect romantic ambience. Staff was very prompt in service and co-operative. Food quality and taste was very good. Very well maintained in all aspects, a perfect 5 star service. No extra charges for in room dining etc.

A colleague at breakfast summed it up well: "I am shocked that this is a Taj Property"!!

Small room, no carpeting, hard beds, indifferent service. It's hard to believe that this is a hotel in the centre of New Delhi. Narrow corridors, cramped reception, at Rs10,500 a room night, thats almost $200 it's not worth it. .
The breakfast at the Yellow Brick Road was just about worthy of a 2 or 3 Star small European hotel.
I really cant think of anything nice to say about the place at this price point. If it had been Rs 5000 to 7000 I would have said, clean and functional!

The rooms were particularly airy and spacious: my room was large enough to be able to work comfortably and discuss with colleagues. I really enjoyed my stay there and found it really practical for work.

Although the staff and service at this hotel were excellent, it does not deserve a four or five star rating in my view even if it belongs to the Taj chain. It is a small, older building and not as luxurious as I would expect from an expensive business hotel. The lobby is nothing spectacular and the tiny elevators are a bit scary to ride in. My room was big and had flat panel televisions. But the beds were just average and the furniture a bit dated and shabby. It is near the Khan Market but this is really just a collection of small dilapidated shops that amount to less than a suburban strip mall. I am not an expert on New Delhi but I suspect that there are far better locations. The saving grace of this hotel is the quality of service. The staff really does bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. Yet the hotel facility itself is just too mediocre next to the many first class facilities you can find in Asia for a similar price. I therefore cannot in good conscience give this hotel a high rating or recommend it enthusiastically.

Excellent location.
Old world charm. Quaint!
Defintely not for the business travellor!
As far as restaurants go they have just two.
However since Khan market is clsoe by you can garab a bite next door.

I checked in Taj Ambassador , New Delhi this time as there were no rooms in Maurya or Taj Palace / Mahal. I checked in at about 730 pm. The room was large with large bathroom but with old touch to it. As I filled my bath tub to soak my tired feet, I saw yellow water in the tub.
I called house keeping and the Manager. They tried to convince me that water is not yellow but is reflecting bath tub colour . Not being convinced, a few more techicians came & agreed that it was some blockage in water pipe and they need to correct it. Imagine taking shower in this dirty water ?

As I walked bare feet in the room, also realised the room was not clean. It was dusty.

I am aghast at this std of Taj property. I mean one pays a rate of about 15000 for a room and one gets this quality of service.

It is really not happening.
