We would have to say that this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The decor is lovely and the location was fine but what made this hotel stand out was the excellent service! The staff had the right balance between being professional and friendly. Unlike many other 5 star hotels where the staff have an air of superiority or snootyiness, the staff here were helpful, caring and sincere. From the door man to the room attendants and all F&B staff. The buffet breakfast was lovely and each day we tried a different menu with plenty of familiar and unfamiliar items to both comfort us and tempt us. The pool was fantastic, big, clean and well supplied with towels and water. It was the perfect spot to cool down in the days before the monsoon hit Delhi. The worst part of the whole experience was when we were checking out. We had booked via the hotel web site and the offer was called the extended stay offer. There was another offer available called the stay for 4 pay for 3 offer - this is the one we thought we had booked. The web site was a little unclear, and as we were charged for 3 nights we thought that was correct. As we were getting into our taxi for the airport though we were informed that we owed another nights stay. They took a swipe of our credit card and we agreed to discuss once we had caught a flight. After several days, many phone calls and many emails back and forth we have worked out that 1) they had overcharged us on one of our rooms (we had 2), and 2) the stay for 4 and pay for 3 was not on offer at that property. So although it was a fantastic hotel the final bill experience was very sour and we would urge you to check the rate you were quoted and then check the amount you are being overcharged. I would also encourage the hotel website to more carefully label their offers - to reduce confusion for all. One final thing they don't seem to offer any environmental concessions - ie they offer to change your bed linen everyday! Really who needs that??
