“Wonderful hotel”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

We stayed at the Imperial for 2 nights at the beginning of our 10 day holiday. We arrived in the morning, were greeted warmly and surprised to be shown to our room immediately. We had booked a standard room but it was very spacious and immaculate. The building is truly spectacular. We ate in all the restaurants and found the food and service amazing and varied. Our waiter reminded me of a dish I had wanted to try the previous day and brought it immediately. All the staff were ready to chat, offer ideas for sightseeing and tell us about the history of the hotel over the years. We received smiles wherever we went. The pool was luxurious but uncrowded and perfect for relaxation after a busy day. We slept really well in the comfortable beds with soft white linen.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have less traffic noise.

This is a 5 star hotel in New Dehli. This is not a place for the budget traveller. It is very tranquil and lovely. well maintained and very luxuary. I believe that the local elite also comes to the restaurant for lunch. Room price may be high but the prices in the bar and restaurant are decent. They have a special business center. Staff is profesional and friendly. Dinner is wonderful and they have a few bars where you can have a drink. It is very central and outside there are taxis waiting but you can also just walk as many nice places (shops, restaurants) are nearby. If you want a carefree time than go here!

I visit The Imperial Hotel with my elderly mother and spent three nights there. we stayed on the ground floor and were delighted with the luxury and comfort we experienced there. The small details like the quality of the bedding, the beautiful crockery and cutlery were all in keeping with such a splendid hotel. We ate at the hotel whilst we were in Delhi and the quality and range of food was excellent. whilst we found Delhi to be very dirty, the hotel itself was spotless and it was opulent in decor and design. The pool area is just lovely for spending a quiet time relaxing away from the bustle of the city. We had one hiccup, after arriving at midnight we discovered that we had been booked into a room with only one bed. We advised the hotel of,this problem and were immediately moved to a very nice room. the problem was resolved smoothly. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: we were on the ground floor which was perfectly fine. Nice view of the garden.

Recently spent a week here for business and the service and friendless of the staff at the Patiala Peg was amazing. I usually travel here twice a year and it's the best home away from home.

The Patiala Peg is a beautiful, old-world bar and had the best service from Girish & Surat!

The hotel itself has top notch service, wonderful amenities and is luxury at it's finest.

Room Tip: I was accidentally booked in a smoking room, when I asked to be moved I got upgraded to a beautiful...

Lovely hotel - from the welcoming faces as you approach the gate to the intoxicating scent of jasmine wafting down the halls to the delicious breakfast.

There was construction in front of the hotel but it was never once a disturbance. The property was quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed all my meals - in addition to the breakfast buffet in 1911, I tried two of the restaurants (Daniell's Tavern and The Spice Route) and one was better than the next. Staff also attentive and courteous.

Never made it to the pool but it looked very nice - did try the spa for a facial which was very good. Both professional and relaxing.

Just returned from a trip to the Golden Triangle in India. Fabulous! Made very special by the special Imperial Hotel in New Delhi. First class hotel. The service is excellent, the professionalism and wonderful friendly attitude of the staff is outstanding. The rooms make it easy to relax and rest after much driving.
Well worth a stay. Great way to start and end our trip. Will certainly go back.

Room Tip: A room with windows onto the atrium are very quiet.

This was my second trip the the Imperial in two years and i thought that it could not be better then the first experience but it was. I traveled there last year on business and only got to experience a few of the wonderful services they provide due to my time constraints. This time I had a bit more time and even though it was still business I managed to experience the vast array of things that the hotel offers. I believe that this hotel has some some of the best service if not the best service in the world. The location is perfect to all major areas in Delhi so works well for both work and pleasure. I look forward to going back. The hotel itself is a complete experience with an amazing City - I recommend it to all people going to Delhi.
