“Good food, good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2014

We visited here for our team lunch on a weekday as we wanted to try out a new place. The cuisine is strictly north indian, but the food was good, especially the breads. Service was also quite prompt. Its very much on par with most restaurants on the pricing, but there is nothing special about the ambience, though the ambience is not bad. Located right next to Embassy, guess it has lot of catching upto do, as the place was not filled even during peak lunch hour!

“BEWARE......of the average !”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2013

If it's your marriage anniversary, and your wife requests to dine at a restaurant serving delicious food and specially having a good ambience then remember not to visit Zaffran. I did that today. I opened Trip Advisor and saw great reviews of Zaffran and went there for the first time, only to return feeling OK and thanked my stars that it did'nt get any worse. Picture an average Mughlai Restaurant near your house and Zaffran is just like that. Can you recall the typical instrumental old songs CD they play at every restaurant (Song-Aaj phir jeene ki tamanna hai) ? It had that. If you can recall the heavy copper surfaced serving bowls you've seen at any Mughlai restaurant ? It had that again. They took about 20 mins to serve a meal of four people (which is a long time if you are hungry). The food tastes as if cooked as a routine affair; as a duty. Nothing was wrong about the place, just that nothing is great either. It is simply very..........................AVERAGE. I am a 29 year old Delhiite and a believer of "each must do one's job well". Wish you all happy dining. Thanks Tripadvisor.

“Nice Restaurant, Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

As we always stay at The Palace Heights Hotel while in Delhi, we have breakfast and sometimes dinner at Zaffran which is located in the same building and on the same floor with the hotel, actually just a few steps to the right of the reception counter.
For breakfast they offer both Western and Indian menus, both equally delicious. For dinner, we usually go for a non-spicy tanduri chicken with dal mahni (lentil), raita (yoghurt with some chopped vegetables), plain nun (flat bred) fresh out of the oven, and mango lassi for drinks – all dangerous for your waist line but absolutely delicious. The staff is very courteous and helpful, the tables to the right offer some nice view to the street, there was very suave music played by Brian Silasi coming out of the speakers which all made for a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

Me and my boyfriend found this restaurant after walking around the square for a while. We had a tough day and decided to treat ourselves with a nice dinner.
The restaurant is amazing, the food was more than great... But the service was unbelievable!!! We were delighted we found it!!! Dinner was cheap and food was incredible.
I'd deffo go back and recommend it to everybody!
Well done guys!!

We went Zaffron the night before Dwalli. We had reservations for 8 people at 8pm. We did not have to wait to be seated. The food was authentic. Service was great, the surroundings were appealing.
