The platform's are so dirty and one can't see the rail tracks. There are lakhs of people commuting via this station and it is in the pathetic condition.

A life line of Delhi with the rest of the country. Approach ROAD to platform 1 is congested. New approach road to station is better. Should be connected to Sarai Kalai Khan by elevated road, as planned earlier.

We were dropped off at Nizamuddin Station at 06:20 in the morning, with ample time to make the Agra train (Taj Express). Crossing South Delhi at a pre-dawn hour is like picking your way through a bombed out city, with broken pavements and mangled sidewalks (the daytime bustle kind of covers up the cracks and potholes). Here and there, people cluster around food vendors or pile into buses, then it's darkness again save a few flickering fires on the sidewalks and some hunched-up figures huddling around them. We arrive at the station and it's a mess of people milling around and cars parked in front at all angles. We negotiate the steps among a loud multitude of people, many carrying impossibly bulky loads. From this overhead platform we now see more people standing by the tracks and some beat-up train lumbering off. No sign of our train, even though it's supposed to start from here. Suddenly, an announcement informs us that the Taj Express is 4 hours late and the inconvenience is much regretted. Great! This effectively blows our one-day trip to Agra. The tickets it took so much effort to secure (ever tried using the Indian Railways website?) are now worthless. We descend the steps the way we came, past broken-down metal detectors and assorted bodies lying around, and we're outside again. So long, Nizamuddin Station. With any luck, we'll never come back again.

Better than other stations in Delhi! But then, you are hardly going to choose your station, but be forced to go!
