Owner description: When in India offers exhilarating yet leisurely tours of the charming Old Delhi in specially designed pedicabs (rickshaws) and includes an exclusive visit to an old haveli (mansion) built in 1860. Our one-of-a-kind tours have been covered in various newspapers, TV channels and magazines and are included among 'the top 50 trips of the world' by Outlook Traveller (a top travel magazine in India). If you are looking to explore Delhi's rich history, heritage, religions, cuisines and culture, then you will love this experience. With us, you get transported 400 years back in history and glide through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk (The Moonlit Square of India), the most popular street in Old Delhi. Take the tour and witness the architectural marvels, the multicolored facades, beautifully decorated shops, ethnically dressed men and women and get bombarded by the fragrances emanating from the potpourri of eateries that line these historical alleys. Included in the tour (exclusive offerings) are foods from famous eateries, real time live-commentary, visit to an exclusive photo-gallery and souvenir booklet. Our expert Delhi enthusiasts (passionate guides) show the city from the local's perspective and tell tales that breathe life into the history of one of the greatest heritage cities in the world and help the guests discover the real places that they will not find in the guide books. Our 'holistic tours' include visits to Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Spice Market, Wedding Market, various Religious Shrines, Silver Bazaar, Town Hall, Zeenat Mahal, old mansions, and other hidden gems. We have paired up with several Delhi hotels and have served dignitaries including the ambassadors from the American and the French Embassies and many other guests from international organization like W.H.O., U.N.E.S.C.O., World Bank, U.N.D.P., Bill Gates Foundation, U.N. and others. We also offer tours in New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

With clear-eyed affection for the grandeur and beauty of the past, Wii also delivers crisp, responsive professionalism, excellent customer service and a warm human touch. It's a brilliant idea because a well-piloted pedicab is absolutely the best way to experience the sensory carnival that is Old Delhi, and Wii executes the idea flawlessly: skilled, polite, cheerful drivers; informed, interesting (and never pompous) commentary; and a just-right (not too long, not too short) itinerary. I highly recommend the afternoon's custom tour -- more expensive but allows full scope for Wii's flexible responsiveness to the customer's interests. Our son and daughter-in-law are combat-hardened adventure travelers who loathe the very idea of "guided tours," but they loved this one so much that they wish they had an equivalent for their home in the old city of Hanoi. After experiencing the best that "old school" Indian tourism has to offer on a 7-day "Palace on Wheels" tour of Rajasthan, we were delighted with this refreshing lesson in what a new generation of smart Indian entrepreneurs can do to improve the tourist experience of their rich and complicated heritage.

As a New Yorker, I thought I was well prepared to take on Old Delhi -- boy, was I wrong! Delhi is definitely an overwhelming city, but absolutely beautiful! Ritu is an excellent tour guide and the rickshaw drivers are unbelievably safe. At first, you would imagine that over 4 hours on a rickshaw is definitely system overload, but between stopping, taking pictures, enjoying the tour, it flew! thank you, Ritu!

Nicely spent morning, we got to experience Old Delhi from in the way we wouldn'z have able to manage on our own. Taruna is very friendly and knows the place well, this was a very good choice.

We did this tour last year in November, the review is late because Delhi is a city that is not easy to digest/comprehend. In nearly all parts of the world we are seen as hectic western Europeans that ought to wind down. In Delhi, you have to massively wind up and get to speed if you want to only halfway keep up. I assume by doing so one can only store a fraction of the impressions that one gets constantly bombarded with. Maybe it's only my age...
What made sense was this tour. We were running around in the chaos for several days. Without even knowing it we had visited the area just 2 days before on our own. Diving into the chaos. I quite like it but what you see is in fact nothing because it is just overcrowded. Not having to walk alone is worth the price. Not because I am lazy. Because you can concentrate on looking around. Secondly, even if you have a guide book, you won't find things. It's too full. And there is so much, you would miss half of it.
This tour with Ritu was great - if you want to actually see and learn something about the Old Delhi area - that's the way to do it.
