“looking for authentic chinese food ? Royal China restaurant is the place to go.”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

It was after almost an year I visited the Royal China last week and surprisingly the food quality continues to be the same. Being a vegetarian, I found some of the veg dishes like dumplings were quite good. Apart from the ambience and the wonderful view of Delhi sitting in the restaurant the spaciousness of the restaurant is also to be noted. Although I am a vegetarian, my friends were raving about the non veg dishes too.

“Perfect for occasions”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

The location is great - in the middle of one of New Delhi's business districts, right opposite the Nehru Place Metro station. The ambiance is terrific - on a clear day, the 16th floor affords a view of the treetops of a green belt and the rooftops of some of South Delhi posh localities.

The real challenge with The Royal China is making a sensible choice from the elaborate and exquisite menu. For the second straight time, we cheated and went straight for the Tasting Banquet - a multi-course (11-item!) set meal served hot at the table. It took the guesswork out of ordering and was truly a royal repast, with a variety of flavors that left the palate constantly stimulated. The attentive but unobtrusive service gave us plenty of time to celebrate the occasion (our wedding anniversary).

Most Chinese restaurants in Delhi tend to serve "Indian Chinese" - but the Royal China is authentic. I plan to go back there, soon.
