This is a beautiful hotel. The staff is beyond courteous , always available to lend a helping hand. The furnishings are gorgeous. The coffee cups in the rooms are bone china. The food was delicious and the spa was, again, outstanding.

Beautiful hotel with attentive and plentiful service. I came in at 2:30 am, and was greeted at the front entrance with a fresh flower necklace and an escort up to my room for an in room check in. Room was spacious and clean and far nicer than the dated ITC hotel that I stayed in 8 years ago. Rooftop pool is beautiful as long as you don’t mind a few pigeons! Room service was prompt and the floor butler service excellent. Library bar on the ground level is small and cozy with a great adjoining outdoor terrace. Gym is outstanding, especially for Asia...big with plenty of equipment. Spa was nice also- did not use, but is connected with the gym and looked big and clean as well.

Thank you for giving The Leela Palace New Delhi an opportunity to welcome you back to the vibrant capital. It is heartening to read that the stay at our modern day palace was a refreshing experience and our dedicated staff servicesadded to the success of your trip.

We do apologize for our resident 5 star pigeons, but please understand that Delhi is among the most bird-rich cities on the planet. Delhi’s birds come in all shapes, sizes and colors, some living with us in our localities, others out of sight in parks, protected forests and bird sanctuaries.

We hope to remain your preferential palatial hotel in New Delhi and be able toearn that last star from you in the near future.

With best regards,

Louis Sailer,

General Manager

Late afternoon taxi from airport – arrived in the rush hour – at the same time the hotel was hosting function to celebrate Kuwaiti independence – lobby busy – but we were picked up – security first – then greeted and garlanded – seated – passport + credit card preliminaries – told we had been upgraded to a suite – thank you - and then it was off to the suite for a guided tour

Stayed in room 347 which was described as a suite having booked a grand deluxe room with a business package for one night from 20 February 2918

The suite had an entrance hall leading a large lounge – 3 person sofa plus 2 comfy chairs – desk + chair – minibar – tea/coffee making facilities – flatscreen Sony TV – then onto separate bedroom – large space – big firm but comfy bed – comfy chairs – another minibar – flatscreen Sony TV – off this is the bathroom – very large – obscenely deep bath with TV built into the mirror – excellent and large walk-in shower – separate cubicle for the throne like toilet – next door is the closet – hanging and drawer space – space for luggage – size of our lounge at home

The room was quiet with no noise from the hotel but some road noise as we overlooked a busy double carriageway

Air conditioning controls in both lounge and bedroom – the complementary wi-fi offered decent speed and provided no problems with googling newspaper downloads etc….

We had early evening beers and nibbles in the Library Bar and a light supper in the Qube where we also had breakfast which was extensive and we were spoilt for choice

My wife described the decorations in the public areas as sumptuous with long hanging curtains, marble floors, paintings and carpets in the corridors so deep “they almost tickled your ankles” (Philip Marlowe)

There is a rooftop infinity pool with views over Delhi – but only when the smog clears…

The staff were to a person unpretentious, patient, helpful, engaging but sophisticated – an absolute delight – they along with the upgrade – thank you again - gave us the treat we wanted after 3 weeks in India – thank you

The Leela Palace lived up to its reputation from the moment we walked in. Flowers everywhere, beautiful pieces of furniture and art, and a staff that was extremely gracious. The breakfast was fabulous and included both local and western choices. Our dining experience at their renowned Indian restaurant was unforgettable.

Customer service was extraordinary, and I must mention Mr. Tejinder Singh, who went out of his way to make us feel comfortable when we arrived in the middle of the night. He went beyond the call of duty, and we were impressed with his commitment to customer satisfaction. I will also acknowledge Ms. Malvika Sahay, who greeted us every time with such kind helpfulness and provided us with recommendations regarding meals and our stay at the hotel.

We’ll definitely stay here on our next visit to Delhi.

Your kind endorsement of The Leela Palace New Delhi is much appreciated. Thank you both for taking the time to share your experience with us and for being our guests.

It is a pleasure to read that you sampled an ‘exceptional stay’ at our beautiful hotel and took note ofall the bespoke elements especially 14000 fresh flowers, exquisite mother of pearl furniture and 1400 pieces of custom built art that elevate the palatial ambience of the property.

The repertoire of award -winning restaurants makes the palace an elite gourmet destination in the city and our talented chefs are happy to learn that these varied dining experiences especially breakfast at The Qube and dinner at 1 Michelin star signature fine dining Indian restaurant Jamavar scored high on your list.

At the Leela my young passionate team is the pillar of service excellence and without their untiring efforts we will not be able to deliver on the sole promise of delighting our guests. Your generous praise for their dedicated services particularly of Tejinder and Malvika are thus very motivating.

We all look forward to welcoming you back to ‘your palatial home’ in Delhi soon again.

With warmest regards,
