As a person of Indian origin and, therefore perhaps somewhat more aware of the possible risks of touring those parts of India with which my family is unfamiliar (than the average Western traveller), in the past we've mostly stuck to only visiting those parts we already know. However, on our latest trip (in April 2012) we decided to venture further and, based on existing reviews on Trip Advisor, chose to book a tour of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with Delhi Magic. We opted not to book through any Western tour operator since we know India offers great value-for-money whereas we've not yet come across a Western tour operator that does the same.

Having now experience the Delhi Magic service, I am very pleased to say we made a great decision. We provided them with our dates, some attractions we wanted to visit and an outline budget for our trip. With these inputs and after a few email exchanges, the company organized the perfect itenerary including English and Punjabi speaking guides and excellent hotels (especially considering the price we had agreed). We paid for the trip with two SWIFT bank transfer installments and were provided with a document giving us the addresses of our hotels along with contact details of the Delhi Magic rep and the guides at the various cities we were to visit. Upon arrival at our first hotel in Delhi, the tour rep was there to meet us, check us in and provide the necessary paperwork for the remaining parts of our trip. For the rest of the trip we were able to contract our guides by phone and ensure they met us at our hotels at a time convenient to us. They were able to modify the tours based on the time we wanted to spend and the interest we expressed. Furthermore, the guides had both the historical knowledge to make us feel excited and inspired by the places we visited and the local knowledge to deal professionally with any local issues (which would have caused us grief had we not been accompanied by them).

Overall, based on our exprience, there is no doubt we will use Delhi Magic again on future visits to India. The whole trip has shown us a new level of service that it is possible to obtain in India and, with this, the confidence to explore India further. The company are great ambassadors for India. Lets hope others can use them as a role model from whom to learn.

Delhi Magic, keep up the excellent work.

Thank you to Deepa and her staff for making our Golden Triangle tour such a wonderful trip! I booked with Delhi Magic based on the Trip Advisor reviews (including the really negative one ... I was appreciative of Deepa's response to that one so knew we'd be taken care of). Rajesh guided us in Old and New Delhi, Akshay showed us the Taj Mahal and Sikri, and Nidhi took care of us in Jaipur. FYI - All 3 guides were wonderful but Nidhi was probably our favorite, especially with the way she included our teens in her discussions. Our driver was great but we all got car sick at some point of the journey ... not the fault of our driver ... it's just that the driving in India is CRAZY! One thing we really liked about our guides is they did not take us on any factory tours unless we asked, so that was very much appreciated. Our favorite hotel was the Wyndham Grand in Agra, but the Hilton Garden Inn in Saket (New Delhi) was a perfect location (e.g., it's connected to a shopping mall, which includes the Hard Rock Cafe ... after a long flight and then another long day with sight-seeing, we were fine with staying at this hotel and it was great to use the pool, too). The Golden Tulip Hotel in Jaipur was the only one that didn't give us free Internet, but the rooms were great and the rooftop pool was a god-send after a long day of sight-seeing in the 100 degree F heat. Lastly, we want to thank Deepa for double-checking on Mass times and locating a Catholic Church for us to attend Easter services - now that's good customer service! Don't hesitate to book with Delhi Magic Tours - you'll find it very economical, as well as very personable. Good luck!

I booked with Delhi Magic -due to the consistently good reviews! They lived up to their reputation!

I found them to be efficient, punctual and accommodating – especially when I made a change to my itinerary on day 4(-much appreciated). The two representatives and drivers were punctual and polite - which added to my trip being hassle free.

Apart from the places and sights I saw and visited - what also made my trip really enjoyable were the guides!!

Uma was my guide for my "Delhi by Metro" tour -she was very professional, earnest and informative. It was really good to find out more about the NGO "Manzil" she volunteered for and the opportunities that she was able to access by working with them. My only regret is not making the time to visit “Manzil”

JP Mishra in Varanasi was extremely knowledgeable - being of Indian origin I have a good knowledge of Indian culture and history-however JP Mishra extended my knowledge and gave me an excellent introduction into the local day to day and spiritual lives of local people of Varanasi/ Sarnath. Furthermore he had a sound knowledge of Vedic culture and history. He made sure that I got to see and experience all the things I had written down on "My things to do" list-especially the temples. He had a really good sense of humour and was very calm and was a “Pro” at navigating through the old city especially when it got really busy.

Punam Gulati was my guide when I returned back to Delhi and I spent the afternoon walking around Qutb Minar and Hummayan's tomb-Punam was lovely and jovial and it was really easy to relate to her. She was very knowledgeable and informative – I learnt a lot about the 7/8 cities of Delhi and the architecture of the sights visited –really interesting!

The hotels suggested by Delhi Magic were really good - especially as I was a lone female traveller. I felt very relaxed and safe in both -the staff were really helpful and professional. Colonel's Retreat and Rashmi Guest House

The only thing I found a little strange was when my driver dropped me off at the airport-I asked him what I should do with my feedback form - he suggested I send it to the company as he did not seem too keen to take it-was not sure of the protocol (I hope you received it in the post-Delhi Magic)

Overall a really good trip which was hassle free and fun!

What an experience. Excellent trip, we met our lady guide (sorry don't remember your name) for our trip through Old Delhi, we visited several religious site one with a drop in kitchen for the poor, which was fascinating. We also did a walk down some of the old narrow shopping streets, Wedding street, street selling fireworks and street food. Our guide was exceptional, she spoke very good english, was extremely knowledgeable and she made us feel very safe with her. She also customised the tour for us, giving us several alternative to make sure we got the most from our trip. Many, many thanks for a great day.

I hardly need to write this review, given Deepa and her staff have so many good reviews already (and this was the reason we chose her company!). But I just wanted to write a short note to say how well my boyfriend and I were taken care of on our recent trip to India with Delhi Magic.

The trip was very well-organised, and all of the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. All of the guides that we had were very knowledgeable (and greatly enhanced our understanding of what we were seeing). Special mention goes to J.P. in Varanasi who went out of his way to provide friendly and welcoming service.

Both of the drivers we had were punctual and polite and we felt very safe and well taken care of with them. Special mention goes to Kamlesh (who drove us from Delhi to Jaipur to Agra and back to Delhi). He was very helpful in giving us tips on some extra things we could see (e.g. the Gandhi museum) and helped us out with other small things (e.g. getting some small change and phoning ahead to Varanasi to help organise a doctor for me when I was ill).

We would highly recommend Deepa and her team - thanks very much to them all for a great holiday!
