Tree of Life was an oasis of cleanliness and calm in chaotic and crazy Delhi. After a day of dusty, sweaty sightseeing, you'll be happy to come back here, turn on the A/C and clean all that dirt off your body in the amazing shower, and then sleep in what is a very quiet neighborhood.
I initially picked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport (my flights were all at extremely early or late hours) and because it seemed to be a better price than other similar quality hotels, but it turned out that the biggest benefit of staying here was access to cars and drivers. The owner, Ashwani, runs a big car service, and can give you a driver and car at your disposal for the day. (The drivers speak English of varying quality, however.) Ashwani himself is also extremely helpful with anything you need, whether it be sightseeing details, logistics of getting around, or answering your questions about India.
I think this place is extremely good value, considering what else I saw online, due to its proximity to the airport, the availability of drivers, and Ashwani's help.More
