No wishes, no questions, no plans that Ashwani cannot help with! To know that you are not lost when arriving in New Delhi, in India for the very first time! Tree of Life is very comfortable and friendly, extremely clean and well placed. The best address to start an Indian adventure!

We recently stayed at the Tree of Life on our first trip to Delhi and we couldn't of been happier. The rooms are spacious and clean with air con and sky tv. The owner Ashwani was always on hand to help if we needed anything from providing drivers, to advice on where to eat, nothing seemed a hassle for him. Breakfast was provided each morning and even when i was sick with the dreaded Delhi Belly one day Ashwani cooked me some plain rice :) The apartments have free wifi which is a big plus. Ashwani also has a car company and can arrange simple pick ups to full on tours at very reasonable prices. We had Kuldeep as a driver for the majority of our time there and he was fantastic. If i was to return to Delhi there would be no doubt in my mind that we would stay here again,

Room Tip: I die in my sleep so this didn't effect me but friends could hear the morning prayers at 4am of...

What can I say about the Tree of Life ?? Quite a lot actually and all of it very good but more importantly the owner and our genial host Ashwani was fantastic and super helpful .
This was my first trip to India although the 25th for my wife and first for our two friends and we couldn't have picked a better place to start .
The TOL is located in a quiet suburb of New Delhi in Saket and is very convenient for the Metro and shops etc . Ashwani was extremely helpful with advice and arranging drivers and taxis etc . We used his driver Kuldeep to take us all the way to Shimla for a few days and again to Jaipur and Agra and Kuldeep is an excellent driver and great travel companion .
Back to the TOL and the rooms are very clean and tidy and fitted with A/C ( all important ) . Breakfast was included and made to order and provided a good start to each day . There is free Wi-Fi access also .
Its easy to see why this place is so highly rated on Tripadvisor and my wife and I will certainly be revisiting as the hospitality , venue and location are excellent .
I wish Ashwani and his staff every success for the future as it is well deserved and we look forward to meeting again in the future . All the very best . Phil & Sandeep .

Excellent . 5 Stars +

We stayed at Tree of Life at the start and end of our recent trip to India and would definitely recommend it.

Communication with Ashwani during booking was prompt and helpful, he even kindly booked our train tickets for us when I was having difficulty doing so from the UK. We arranged a airport transfer through his car hire business and it couldn't have went more smoothly. The driver was waiting for us at the airport exit with a sign exactly as Ashwani had described and he helped carry our bags to the car, which was the only car we travelled in with seatbelts in the back!

Our twin room was at Tree of Life was lovely. Very clean and modern. The matress and pillows were very comfortable, in fact I woke up several times here thinking I was at home, and when I woke up at home this morning I thought I was still at Tree of Life, so obviously the bed was perfect for me and I slept very well. There was very little outside noise. The bathroom was modern and the shower good.

Breakfasts were either an Indian breakfast which were always delicious, or toast with various jams and eggs as you like. There was also fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea and coffee and cereal available. Always served politely with a smile.

Ashwani was incredibly helpful with his knowledge of Delhi and advice. He has a good understanding of what people would enjoy and lots of practical information gained from a lifetime in the city. There is also a very helpful collection of books about Delhi and India. We borrowed a good book aimed at families and a lovely children books that explained the history of some of Delhi's famous sights. Ashwani has two children who my daughter enjoyed spending some time with.

There is good wifi and an excellent computer and printer on each of the two floors. There is a common room on each of the two guest floors. Breakfast is served on the first floor so if you are expecting you might want late morning it might be better to see if a room on the second floor is available. It wasn't an issue for us as for the first stay we were on the the second floor and slep till 11.30am the first morning, but worth mentioning as on the second stay on the first floor, I was aware of some invetible minor noise as other guests had their breakfast but it was when we were getting up because we didn't need the long lie-in.

Tree of Life is located in Saket, South Delhi. I found the location to be ideal, it is in a quiet residential area in a nice neighbour hood. There is a cinema surrounded by shops close by and it is a couple of minute walk from the metro station which is on the yellow line - perfect for exploring the sights of Delhi. The metro is very easy to use and made moving around Delhi hassle free.

There are 3 very modern malls in Saket which we visited at the end of trip. Was incredible to see the contrast between this and the places we had visited over the last 5 weeks. As much a part of India as anywhere else but very different. Lots of stores you'll have heard of and a few nice places to buy ready made Indian style clothes for prices which would still be considered low by European standards - FabIndia etc. Food courts available with a combination of Western fast food and Indian places, also a Haagen Dazs and an Italian style gelato place in CityWalk for good ice-cream!

We didn't have an evening meal at Ashwani's but what I saw looked delicious. There are a couple of take-away menus available (presumably places the family have tried themselves), the staff will order it over the phone for you and provide plates and cutlery. We ordered from the Chinese on our last night and it was good.

I can't think of any criticisms. We had a great time here, we really appreciated having a clean and calm place at the end of the day and Ashwani's great advice tailored to meet our needs. Definitely a good place for families with children as the owners' children are lovely and happy to socialise and Ashwani has a good awareness of things to do in the city with children and how to go about it. Delhi itself is quite an amazing city, I'm sure we will be back and will definitely stay here again!

Having decided to use the Tree of Life as a short stop over before taking our flight from the new airport, we were most happy with all. Our host Ashwani was very efficient with all our travel arrangements (car from Agra and to airport) and if staying in Delhi again for sight seeing or a longer stop over would certainly use this accommodation. The Saket zone is residential and within a few minutes walk is a cinema complex called PVR and in this area are places to eat. Did not venture further as time was short. Actual accommodation was most comfortable and wished we had longer to rest.

We stayed twice over a 10 day period with a tour of Rajasthan in between. Returning at the end of our tour was like coming home. We loved The Tree of Life which really is an oasis of calm in a frenetic city! The welcome we got and the advice that Ashwani the owner gave us was fantastic. He had photocopied maps showing recommended restaurants, sights to visit and how to get to them using the Metro. When we left to go to Jaipur he kindly lent us a useful guide book.
The rooms are comfortable, good sized bed, very clean and the en suite had a good shower - essential on an Indian holiday.
Breakfasts were served politely by the staff with curries and omelettes made to order.
We recommended the Tree of Life to relatives before we even visited ourselves - risky but we never had reason to be concerned as they loved it as much as we did.
When we next visit Delhi there is only one place we will stay...The Tree of Life!

Hard for the taxi driver to find and must admit I was a bit apprehensive when we arrived as it seemed quite far out of Delhi central ( we stayed in Connaught place first time in Delhi) However once we were in our room all fears were allyed- lovely big room very clean great en suite. Nice breakfast and very helpful staff. Nearby are some massive european style malls. Our Tuk Tuk driver had real difficulty finding the B and B at night. Dilli Haat market is just a 5 min drive for moderately hassle free souvenir shopping. Would recommend this accommodation, nice and quiet.
