The rooms are generally nice but the cleanliness of 2 rooms we saw/stayed in was not very good. The first room was the biggest in the hotel, and seemed clean but then the air conditioning kept churning out moldy, smelly air that made us feel sick. The next room had a leak in the water boiler in the bathroom that also smelled strange, so water splashed down onto the toilet and floor (and wetted the toilet paper along the way). We also found many small black droppings that looked like mouse droppings under the pillows. There were about 10 to 15 small black pieces that we swept off the bed before we slept.
The hotel is in a good area though, a hotspot for backpackers, and it is cheap enough, but I would not want to stay there again. I've stayed in only one other hotel in this neighborhood, so I'm not sure what the average is but that place at least did not have poor air quality (this was the biggest complaint we had, breathing that air in the first room made us feel sick and nauseous and a cough formed in my throat). The staff were very polite and helpful when we asked to switch rooms.
