Interesting little coffee shop and eatery on the top floor of Good Earth (which is also a lovely place to browse and shop)...the ambiance is soothing to the soul. Also a great place for people watching. Not sure why this place isn't rated higher on tripadvisor, but that's ok...it's a nice little secret for those who are its loyal patrons.

This dark and dingy, by night at any rate, place couldn't be more of a contrast to the beautiful Good Earth store, the top floor of which it occupies. You can hardly be blamed for thinking that a shop like that will only allow a superlative restaurant to be part of their set up. But how wrong you will be! The food is expensive, way less than ordinary- wilted salad and all and I've no idea how they've run so long. May be because they have a liquor license? Can't think of anything else.

If u want only coffee and conversation do go but its a disappointment for anything more! The buns accompanying the soup are the re 1 minibuns - extremely pathetic for such a highly priced place - I expected 'signature bread 'from Ritu ! I often come here for the cheesecake ( after i read Vir Sanghvi sing praises of it in his column ) because there are very few places in Delhi serving cheesecake. The cheesecake is passable & like those available in supermarkets abroad at 3pounds for a whole cake ! U can never tell with their sandwitches - the gruyere cheese with caramelized onions may taste good one day and on another day the cheese becomes a rubber. The place is less crowded than other cafes in Khan mkt probably bcos of the prohibitive prices or the not easy to find access.

I'd gone to the cafe as I'd been told its a nice quaint cafe above good earth in Khan market. But my disappointment knew no bounds when the food was ordered. I'd ordered the falafel platter which was very very average, the bruchetta felt more like buns, spaghetti was very dry. Not only is the food quality poor the service has found newer bottoms. there was nobody catering to us. We had finished the meal by the time our drinks came. All in all there are many places around the market which deserve more credit than this cafe!

Although I am a bit loathe to share my favorite secret "global cuisine" oasis in Delhi, I must: If you are looking for superbly prepared, innovative world cuisine, a lovingly designed interior and the very best waitstaff in all of Delhi, consider having a meal at Latitude. Tables are limited, so try not to go at peak hours, or at the same time I am trying to get in! :-)
