I tried this restaurant recently. The place was cozy, warm and not really uptight for a fine dining restaurant. We were warmly welcomed to a nice booth with cold towels, very refreshing in the delhi heat! Shortly, after we placed the order, the server brought some chilled shikanji shots (on the house) with assorted papads, chutneys and pickles....wow! We were simply shocked at the amount and variety of the complimentary stuff! The yoghurt dip was tooo good! Our soups & starters arrived at the same time...kesar murgh shorba stood out...we had ordered a non-veg platter, and the cool part was that they let us pick any four kebabs of our choice, contrary to standard statement heard at various places where the waiter would say “Sir variety Fix hai...change is not possible!”

Pathar kebab and rajputana sooley were simply marvellous! I had never tried such soft mutton tikkas before with such unique blend of spices the amritsari fish was nice and crisp loved having it with the yoghurt dip...!

Next came our main course...laal maas, chicken lababdar, urlai roast and gujarati kadhi. I have never tried something as divine as the laal maas....very spicy...though not as much as I was fearing it to be...but such tender pieces of meat outstanding flavours...never thought chilli could taste so good!!! Urlai roast was a refreshing change from the standard mughlai fare that paired with gujarati kadhi (this one could be better) and hot phulkas was super-delicious..!

We were told that all the mango beverages were being made with fresh mangoes these days so we thought of trying a couple of mocktails like mango lime breeze was like melted mango sorbet....mango mojito was quite nice with chunks of mangoes, a refreshing change and value for money as compared to the synthetic slurry that other restaurants usually serve.

We ended the meal with a dessert sampler which was a platter of mini desserts and loved the mango shrikhand and the gulkand phirni...!

In a nutshell, it was a great place and totally worth trying...especially for the kebabs, laal maas and fresh mocktails!

This was our 2nd visit to spice market. We started with a nice hot shorba...and then moved to the kebabs. There was so much that I can’t even remember all what we ate. Amritsari Fish, Pathar ke kebab and Sarson ke Tikke were to die for. There was Peshwari Chaamp and Bhuna Kukda as well, both really nice and tender. There were as many options in veg as well. First time ever I had a Kachche kele ki tikki and Makai Seekh. Both were mouth-meltingly soft and flavorful. Even the Pili Mirch ka Paneer Tikka was stupendous!

We were really stuffed with the kebabs, so had a good 20 min break before heading for the main course. There were almost 9-10 kinds of curries including the Laal Maas, Butter chicken, Sukha Chicken, Paneer Lababdar, Sarson ka Saag and our favourite Gatte ki Subzi. They had both Dal Makhani and Yellow Dal. We also ordered some Gosht Biryani, which came fresh from the kitchen.

Then came the desserts. They sent us a platter of Phirni, Shahi Tukda, Gulab Jamun and Anaari Shrikhand. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal!

The food quality is marvelous and service polite. Highly recommended!

Spice Market is located in Saket in Select CityWalk mall.
Try their Veg Kabab platter and non-Veg Kabab platter and try them with naan. Their Rajhistani Patthar kababs are out of world

This is actually quite a nice restaurant right next to three malls in South Delhi/Saket. The service is good, and so is the food. Don't make the mistake and go there solo in the evening! There is nothing on the menu that is priced and sized for the single traveller. If you want variation and order a couple of curries, you will find out that the portions are far too big (and - accordingly - far too expensive) for one. Felt like a stuffed turkey after the meal and left and with a sense of frustration.
