One of the best restaurants I have eaten in anywhere in the world. Their pau bhaji is superb. Nice ambiance. Great service.

This is a restaurant within a small hotel. It has seating inside, outside and on a terrace. Outside and on the terrace is nice but cold in winter (dec - feb) even with charcoal heaters. Inside the decor is perhaps a little dated. That said the bar area is very pleasant.

However the reason to come is the food. it is simply divine. If you expect traditional Indian this is not it. Its a fusion of tastes done extremely well. You can go a la carte or take the multi-course taster menu plus wine. The service is also very good.

This is a world class restaurant with prices to match. Leave here full with a few drinks you'll be lighter by £70-£80 per person. (And that's choosing the cheaper end of the excellent wine list) . However if you leave disappointed I have no words, other than you must be someone who was brought up on fast food rubbish.

You can access New Friends colony off the Mathura road but note that a sat-nav may well feed you down some very tight lanes to the colony's North entrance (under a flyover). It works but you have to bear with it. Also they lock some of the colony's gates by leaving time and the one that was open near the hotel was closed on our last visit. However the hotel's imposing Sikh parking attendant made the grumpy old gate guard open it for us thus making me most pleased I had the foresight to tip him!

the best indian fusion food in india right now,.indian accent is chef manish mehrotras baby.situated in new friends colony in new delhi. What i liked about this restaurant is the way it caters to a vegetarian palette. The presentation of rather normal NewDelhi offerings like golguppas has been thought out and worked on with precision.I recommend thechef tasting menu. Please make reservations before you go

Breaking free of classic Indian cooking, Indian Accent has received internal acclaim for its Indian fusion cuisine. Here, with a focus on organics and seasonality, they serve items Indian’s wouldn’t dream of considering their own, such as duck filled naan and meetha achaar chilean spare ribs (both excellent). The NYTimes even included Indian Accent on its short list of reasons to visit Delhi this year. The modern take on Indian with its accompanying price range, make the clientele not very local. After stepping into a pretty hotel, you find Indian Accent almost hidden down a hall. You suddenly feel like someone forgot that ambiance is important for a high-end restaurant: the lights not soft enough and the walls too barren (except for the clearly unattractive vents). Had this been a small mom-and-pop shop, I would have not commented, but walking down a elegant hall filled with flower petals and candles and into this room was a disappointment. Then there comes the service, or lack there of. You wait over a course to get any drink (even a beer which is poured table side takes forever) and it was constantly problematic to get our waiters’ attention. In the end, we came for the food, which I must say was mixed. Great start, great end, and something terrible happened in the middle. With locals at my side, the list of food great food we tried included: gorgonzola naan and cauliflower soup amouse bouche, chilean spare ribs, duck naan (reordered two more rounds of these), the best dal I had in India (reordered as well), and the doda burfi treacle tart so good we had to order one way bigger than the tasting. You may notice that there is not one entre listed here, that’s because some were so bad some people refused to finish them (or just at them begrudgingly). Similarly the seafood in the tasting was a total letdown and I’m not sure why they have to ruin some dishes by adding cheese. It’s like they didn’t want show off the mushrooms and truffle oil in the naan, but mask it to taste like a hot pocket. In sum, I would definitely go back and try the non-tasting. I feel that’s its possible to have a great meal here (I would say what we had was very good food), but buyer beware.

Ok, you eat @ Indian Accent and you may not want to eat out anywhere for the next 3 months.
1. Because its an outstandingly memorable gastronomic experience
2. Because you've blown your eat-o it budget for 3 months.
For us, this is a special occasion treat - we last went there for our daughters going-away dinner before she left for the airport. All plans are being made to eat there next, on her coming-back dinner!
I am not going to reveal too much about the food - the surprise is part of the fun. Let me just say, it's innovative to the extreme, unbelievably fun and defies all expectations of what goes with what and how it should be eaten. It's fusion - distinct, even definitive Indian elements, combined with mo seen European fine dining principles to craft uniquely different mouthfuls that make you gasp with delight.
Service is impeccable. The wine list is as astounding as it is unaffordable. Break convention, break the bank and go for it. At least once, in your lifetime.
