The rooms are spacious, very clean and have lovely interiors. Its located in a residential area so not much traffic and is quite peaceful. The staff are always ready to help and don't expect anything in return.

We were on a business trip to Delhi and were looking for an inexpensive place to stay but at the same time didn’t want to put up in a hostel or a mucky guest house. A friend who had already stayed in Swiss Palms spoke of it very highly. I was a bit skeptical by reading some of the bad reviews but thought to go with the majority and esp my friend’s recommendation. And boy, was I glad that I chose it to other properties!!!

After being warmly welcomed at about 1am ,I was led to my room on the 1st floor which already had the air conditioning on to make the room cooler for my group. Although, the kitchen was closed 2 hours back,Prince reopened the kitchen and made us a quick brunch. We all slept very well and were promptly given a wake up call by 8am as we had to rush to a nearby 5 star hotel for a meeting. Ady, arranged for a complimentary drop & pick up to the hotel.

Pluses

# inside a nice gated colony gives you a feeling of security and more importantly gives you first hand experience of how the affluent live in Delhi. A divergent & a good exposure for us.

# Ady & his boys are extremely helpful in so many ways that your stay in a chaotic city like Delhi gets a semblance of sanity with their guidance and personal attention.

# Neat & clean bath, great shower and cosy and comfortable bed & free wi-fi.

Minuses

# It is more famous by the address “H-5” than the name Swiss Palms. So ask your cabbie to search for house no H-5 rather than Swiss Palms- easier to get it by that way. Will recommend taking airport pick up from the hotel esp if you are coming at night.

# Breakfast is filling ,though not a wide variety but satisfactory.

Shopping tip: There is a market called ‘Central market,Lajpat Nagar’ just about 5-7 mins drive by a tuk-tuk. Great deals on garments and decorative materials.

I stayed in Swiss Palms with my father and brothers last week. We were here for my father's treatment in Fortis hospital. Swiss Palms is a very short drive from fortis, only 3-4 mins. They gave me a free pick & drop to the hospital in an air conditioned car, which was very nice as delhi heat is grueling. The staff was extremely cooperative and so were the owners. They allowed us to cook in the kitchen as we wanted to prepare special food for my father who was craving to have home food and Indian food is very spicy for him.
We were served food on a special small 4 seater dining table inside our room. It is really a value for money hotel and we enjoyed every moment of it. Stayed there for about 10 days.
Very good service, very flexible staff and absolutely committed to ensuring guests' comfort. Highly recommended to all.

I have been staying here for my business trips for sometime now and always bookvia agoda. Its probably 7/8 time now. It is in a very conveinent location with bus & taxi stand barely 30mtrs away. Although, I wont recommend Indian buses esp to Westerners as they are overy crowded and most of them are non AC. Take an auto-rickshaw or ask the hotel staff to arrange for a taxi. Let them negotiate the price for you as they work on your best interest. You can book a cab (air conditioned) at half day or full day- 4 hrs or 8 hrs for INR 650-900.
The rooms at The Swiss Palms provide you with all the basic comforts or let me put it as all basic luxuries --like good air conditioning, flat screen TVs,a wide range of satellite channels in English,wi-fi,good bath.
In a nut shell, it is comfortable, just like home, safe & most importantly very warm hospitality. Iam glued to this place for as long as I come to Delhi.

Room Tip: If you are coming for the first time to Swiss Palms, I suggest you take an airport pick up from the...

Swiss Palms is in a very nice clam and quite location & big bunglows around.

We were welcomed warmly by the owner-Mr Ady and we were dropped to a very nice Chinese restaurant nearby, which was very good.He also sent a hotel cab to pick us up from the restaurant as it was our first night and we were not familiar with the roads. the hotel room was very clean, compact with nice TV & free wi-fi with very good speed. The shower was great.

They also sent a car to pick and drop us from the airport. The driver was always on time everytime he was called.Mr Ady was kind enough to give us detailed instructions about sight seeing tour of delhi.

The downside, the breakfast was regular with eggs, toast, butter, flakes with juice & coffee. A bit more variety could be added to the BF menu. But to be fair to them, it is a not a 5 star hotel and the BF is good enough for the price paid.

Good service, good accommodation, fair prices. Had a lovely stay and cant wait to get back.

Room Tip: Make sure you call Ady to ensure your stay is great!!

I just returned from India from a 2 week holiday. Delhi was the starting and ending city of our journey. We stayed in Swiss Palms for 1 night at the start and 2 nights at the end.

We were 3 girls and shared a room. Initially we had booked a Premier room (about INR3300) and was given an extran bed free of cost. The owner is very generous & kind and helpful.

The room was very clean with big window ,lots of sun shine comes in. Bathroom was also nice with a great shower. Do not have enough words to explain how nice it was have a hot shower after the long and not so great flight.Bed was super comfortable and the air con worked just fine.
Have to admit that we were a bit skeptical after reading a couple of bad reviews but gladly everythign thing just turned out fine and we loved it.
Location is also nice with all major sight seeing within 20 mins driver apart from Old Delhi which took about 35-40 mins in tuk tuk.
The Indian food they prepare in their small kitchen is yummy & eagerness of the staff to help & make us feel at home was delightful.

Will surely come back and recommend Swiss Palms to all my friends.

Room Tip: Premier room no 24 and Executive room no 22 are the best rooms.

We stayed here our first two nights in India. We wanted a comfy, quiet place to land in Delhi and had booked the 'superior room' here weeks ahead of time. After 24 hours of travel, our taxi pulled up here in the early evening and our room was not ready! They put us in an adjacent room so we could rest in the meantime. We got some dinner, and afterwards the room was ready, hallelujah! But we were led across the hall to a room where 3 other men were lounging on the couch and bed, smoking cigarettes. They were shooed out and we were shooed in. The bellboys scrambled around the room, picking up ashtrays and trash. We said that we had asked for a non-smoking room, and we were told "just turn on the bathroom fan, it will be OK soon." Now, maybe true "non-smoking" rooms are rare in India, but having 3 men smoking in your room when you check in crosses the line!
A simple breakfast was brought to our room each morning, though we didn't use the kitchen for other meals. They seem to have some other services and amenities which we didn't take advantage of, but I think it may be over-priced in general. We paid 3300/night, or almost $70, and it was the most expensive place we stayed during 7 weeks in India. Once cleared of smoke, our room was spacious and clean enough, but nothing to write home about, for the price. The manager, Aditya, was quite friendly and welcoming, personally driving us to a restaurant the first night, but that's the last we saw of him during our stay. While the hotel is indeed in a relatively quiet, gated neighborhood (by Delhi's standards), its location in South Delhi is not the most convenient to most tourist destinations. I would say the "Locational Advantages" listed on the website are a stretch.
Our experience was certainly soured based on the first night, which we felt was unacceptable, hence the low service, value, and cleanliness ratings, and overall 2-star rating. Aside from that, the Swiss Palms is probably a respectable mid-range hotel. I hope that this was a rare mistake for them. Based on my personal budget and style of travel, I would choose another hotel next time.
