We only spent a night here, but very much enjoyed our stay. Fantastic room with views over Delhi and a private plunge pool (I believe all rooms have one) despite being six stories up! The room was very comfortable and the staff were courteous and helpful, packing a breakfast for us given an early start to drive to Rajasthan. Our driver who took us for a tour of the city was excellent. It is expensive, but a treat.
Dishonest staff who lacs courtesy as well. Do expect grossly inflated bills. An overall bad experience in an otherwise excellent property. Go if you don't mind staring waiters, below average food and most especially when someone else is picking the tab.
We went to the hotel dressed up for a night out and wanted to check out the hotel over a drink. Many people went in ahead of us but we were told that the hotel was closed. We turned around to leave but heard the guys after us say they wanted to go to the bar (in Hindi) and they were let in. When we complain about this discriminatory service someone from hotel management came out and then the story changed to there being a closed party and that the bar was closed. When we said we'd complain further the story changed yet again and the manager said we could go check out the club. We live very close to the hotel but will never go there again. Such rude and discriminatory behavior- and they thought we didn't understand Hindi so would know the difference. Can any hotel afford such shoddy service?
it was the peacefull atmosphere in inside of the hotel.gardens are superb.Rooms are very very good,and lodhi gardens are eye terat.food was owesome,and the staff are courteous.they never say no to anything.
Aman literally translated from Hindi to English mean Peace and Calm. These two words will be your constant companion when you stay at this hotel. I recommend staying at the Aman Suite which has two rooms, a plunge pool and a living room. The hotel has a new bustling bar called Anidra which is frequented by the who's who of New Delhi.
From the moment I checked into the room till the sad moment of check out, I have enjoyed and experienced one of the best service available anywhere in the world.
The hotel does not have many rooms, five on each floor, a total of about 40-45 rooms, maybe that is why there is no large buffet breakfast, just a la carte. Also you'll not see too many guests around. Gives you the feeling that you are the only guest there. That is what is called exclusivity.
Beginning with the room, it is huge. I was at the Aman Room, the biggest one can get in Delhi, at that category. The rooms have a private plunge pool and shower and a tub. All of it, be the room or the tub, is generously big. Each room also has a varandah with sitting arrangement. Also there is a set of sofa and a lounger in the middle of the room giving it a suite like feel.
The hotel is not very colorfully decorated. The decor is all black.
The food was resonantly good. The location was excellent, so were the views from the 4th floor.
Thus, summarizing everything:
Pros: Huge room with big bed, private plunge pool, Big varandah with beautiful views, friendly and helpful staff, great servi, suite like rooms.
Cons: one can sense loneliness if staying here alone, but the pool might keep you occupied.
You might find this property a little expensive, but trust me, if you just want to have a good time and relax, this is the place to be.
