Average hotel: nice hall, ok room, poor breakfast.
Location is ok, but you will need to get a taxi to go where life is.

The location is OK and the price is good relative to other area properties. Lobby and pool are decent. But it ends there. The rooms are truly disgusting. I honestly don't believe my room had been vacuumed in weeks. The bathroom was the same. Hair and dirt everywhere. I think the sheets had been washed but they were stained. Service was generally poor - food prices were high and staff asked often what you needed but then would not do anything about it if you told them. If you must stay here, walk 5 minutes to the Le Meridien nearby for dinner - better food, service and prices.

Stayed for 3 nights on our first trip to India. Lobby decor is very strange. Room size for a suite was OK but decor is dated. Carpet is not meant for a hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. we made buffet breakfast once, on our last day. An esrly start but the 6am buffet start time realy didn't materialiseuntil 6:30am. World hockey cahmpionships were on and hotel was being used for seminars. Clients from many different coutries. Location for access to the sights was OK and airport about 30 minutes away. Pool and pool are is very small. Dined at the Shangrila next door once. their food was superb.

We had our BA flight cancelled for 48 hours and were sent to the Ramada . Small room , bit of a musty smell but not too bad , went for lunch and had some coke to drink . Tried to charge us £3 for cans of coke but we refused to pay , after all drinks and meals meant to be supplied through BA . They would only also allow us one call and that was per couple . Seemed intent just to try to screw us out of as much money as poss . This was later sorted through BA staff but we were almost leaving by then .
Could never recommend this place , looks good on the surface but beware .
By the way food was not as good as local restaurants , so dearer is definately not best .

The hotel with its grand lobby gives a very good impression once you enter it. However the rooms are very small considering the tariff. The amenities in rooms are also basic. Furniture is colonial. May be they did not get much scope to renovate its earlier avatar or they spent most of the money in buying this property and left with very little. They seriously need to renovate the entire hotel.
