“Great stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

This hotel is great for backpackers on a budget. The location is a plus as it is near to old delhi railway and metro stations as well as many places to eat. The hotel is very modern, the rooms are spacious and clean, have a fridge and a large comfy bed. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaraunt which is a buffet style and serves cereal, toast, eggs and indian variety. The staff are very helpful and will get you a Tuk Tuk at cheap prices if you let them know where you want to go and will store your luggage after you check out.
I would defenately recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the centre of Delhi

We booked our rooms via Agoda, which was a mistake, considering the Hotel is located in an area (Pahargunj) where every building is a hotel, and we could have booked rooms at a fraction of the cost by using the taxi driver as agent.
We were given the smallest standard room, without air conditioner- we knew the cheapest rooms were for 18 US$,and had booked rooms for 22 US$.There was no fridge, tea and coffee maker(as promised),so we requested for the tea coffee maker late at night, which we were given.
Although the room was clean, it was small, and even though we requested for a bigger room,we were told that that was the best they could give us.The next morning, when we were checking out,and we told the manager we did not think we got our money's worth, then he tells us we could have changed!
We felt that we were not given the rooms we had paid for-and the management knew it too.

Room Tip: Insist on seeing the rooms first, all the vacant "standard"rooms they have,so you don'...

I highly recommend this place to any one travelling solo in Delhi, centrally located. Staff are very nice and helpful and did their best with English. Vir at front desk went out of his way to make sure my time in the hotel was pleasant.
The restaurant was nice. And Muzamil Nazir at the tour travel desk was exceptionally helpful and English was fluent.
I will definitely stay here when I come back to Delhi.

Room is good but service is very bad. First of all room TV is not working. I called room service 2-3 times, then one person had come and tried to fix the problem. But he told me that tv signal is down, even TV in my neighbor room is working, Toilet is not so clean. Shower was not working and there was no bucket in toilet. Service is very very poor.

On arrival is was hard checking in despite no reservation I knew they had over 30 rooms free.
No towels or paper in room on arrival. No tv for 24 hours trying to explain there was no remote was too much for the front desk and porter to comprehend.
Had to pay cash and was charged more than agreed.
Had to listen to an Indian complaining about the fact there is no airport transfer...

Bathroom vents openly onto corridor, no privacy.

Clearly hear other rooms tv and conversation through bathroom.

100s of places close by means they don't have to bother.

Clean though and good set up in rooms.

We got off to a bad start here when we arrived and they told us that our room did have AC but we would have to pay extra for them to turn it on. The room was fairly big but hardly anything worked. The shower was almost always cold no matter how long you left the water heater switch on, it also blocked up on us so it was down to three jets of water. There was no screen on the bathroom vent so when you had the light on all the bugs came in. After repeated attempts by the staff the tv only worked for 1 night the rest of our stay it just displayed a secuirty warning? The wi-fi also didn't work at all in our room we had to sit in the hall way. The room was fairly clean but the bed sheets looked a little tired with stains and holes in them. The lift was also very temperamental and was broken down one day so we had to use the stairs. You could book tours at the hotel but their prices seemed a bit on the high side to us so we made our own arrangments. The resurant next door was ok and reasonably priced, did nice spring rolls but you would usually have to wait around 30mins for service. The location was quite handy around 15mins walk to the railway station and metro, but there where lots of other hotels on the street where I imagine you could get much better value with facilites that actually work.
