The hotel is one of the older imperial hotels so the set up of the restaurant is very nice. Its a perfect place for a nice romantic evening as they've got a sit out as well. The food is impeccable. Their choices of vegetarian food is very good. The staff is very very helpful and pleasant. Must visit.

The good - started with good service, nice courtyard setting, excellent salmon and good coffee. Dining experience is quite private as tables are far apart.

The bad - service faltered once a celebrity diner entered, extremely expensive wine list (all the diners around us were drinking beer)

For the price, I wouldn't come back. I think there are better restaurants in Delhi for cheaper. If you do go, definitely ask for a table outside as the inside is very small. That being said, if it is between April and September, then definitely sit inside!!...as there are no fans outside.

The Italian food is great and the staff well trained, know what they are selling. The USP is the ambiance of the place, sitting out there in the open with good music enhances the meal experience. Good place to go with your partner for a romantic dinner.

Visiting this restaurant (at the charmingly art deco Imperial Hotel), in the company of an Italian friend who really does know good food, I have to say I was rather skeptical about what we were going to get masquerading as Italian fare. Thankfully my fears were completely unfounded.

The soups were not particularly memorable however, the starters and mains were fabulous! Saffron flavoured risotto, the most delicious cheek of beef and an array of lovely desserts, all beautifully presented. The food was not cheap, but that's typical for any Delhi 5-star hotel.
The extensive wine list was was however shockingly expensive which was a bit of a dampner to the evening. Italian food without wine?! Unthinkable!! We finally settled for an Indian red, which still cost 4x more than the printed price on the bottle. (But again, that's 5-star rates for you)
Service was discrete yet attentive.
The restaurant itself has a very small indoor section, which could feel cramped if fully occupied. The semi-outdoor space was far nicer with more privacy and portable heaters to combat the rather cold weather.

The verdict?! Go, if you're feeling a little indulgent! It's definately authentic and at least cheaper than flying to Italy!! ;-)
