My husband and I stayed only 3 nights at Al Natural on Isla Bastimentos, and we're already making plans to return this fall. Quiet, restful, exotic, unique are just a few of the adjectives that describe this eco-resort. The views of the ocean from the bedroom are breathtaking and the sounds of the surf breaking on the shore lull you into a peaceful sleep. Our cabana was rustic but not primitive and it felt quite private. We took long walks on the beach and enjoyed the flora and fauna of the island. We saw several sloths and night monkeys.
Martin was a fabulous host and makes a killer mojito. The food is plentiful and delicious thanks to Vincent's recipes and a very talented kitchen staff. Fresh caught seafood was a real treat. Meals are served communal style giving the residents a chance to mingle and exchange stories.
The snorkeling was some of the best I have experienced and I have had opportunities to snorkel in many parts of the world. Sea kayaks and a small catamaran were also available to us.More
