We stayed at Red Frog Bungalows in March. Put simply, it is a dream location, with fantastic and unique accommodation, super cool and friendly staff, excellent daily organized trips, amazing local cuisine cooking from Bobo, the chef, and a pristine clean dream beach on your doorstep.
It was our first time in Panama, and Red Frog Bungalows was the best part of the journey for us. I only wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks guys! We'll be back!

Thank You Red Frog Bungalows for delivering the most amazing vacation of our lives. We felt welcomed as friends the moment we were picked up at the airport. We are a family of 5 and have travelled to many exotic locations around this world. This was our favorite not only because you are on a perfect white sand bach but also because of the wonderful staff. Scott and his staff were there for us from the beginning to end.
The bungalows are nestled into an amazing garden full of tropical birds, strawberry dart frogs, sloths and we even had white-faced monkeys come down to our patio. One of our favorite times of the day was right after dark when the fireflies and flourecent green beatles fly around. The garden is full of different tropical specis of Heliconias, ginger, edible spices endless fruits and it was amazing to hear that Scott and Niko planted the entire garden.
Bobo is the chef and his food is out of this world. He is from the island and cooks the most amazing local dishes. We woke up every day excited to see what was next. We loved his fried whole snapper with local creole sauce. It was to die for. We also caught some Yellowfin Tuna with Scott on one of our tours. Bobo made seared tuna, sashimi and the most delicious fish tacos we have every tasted..Seriously amazing stuff.
We did a bunch of different tours with the guides. Chato and Tuluch took us fishing, surfing, and snorkelling to name a few. What is really unique about Red Frog Bungalows is that only local people work there. And because of this the tours are totally different. After surfing one day Tuluch took us to one of his uncles homes and we dined on fresh Conch and lobster. In his house!! We felt so welcomed and part of the family. Chato, the other guide took us on a tour to a private beach and snorkelling over the most amazing corals..There was nobody around. These guys are true professionals and you can tell they love their job.
After all of the tours we loved coming back to Red Frog Beach and hanging in the hammocks on the beach. There is the most perfect thatched palapa with hammocks and lounge chairs right on the beach. Thank you to everyone at Red Frog Bungalows for making this our best family vacation ever.

Room Tip: Dont waste your time looking anywhere else

The Perfect Vacation!!
We just returned from a perfect week in paradise at Red Frog Bungalows. We had never been to Panama and we found Red Frog Bungalows from an article in Mens Journal. This place was beyond what we expected. It started with a friendly smile at the airport when we were greeted by Scott. We had a long day and were so happy to have someone there to pick us up.
When we arrived at the resort... Bobo, the chef, was waiting with the most amazing carribean cuisine. His food was delicious and kept us excitied for every meal. Do not expect to loose weight on your trip!
We surfed perfect waves with nobody out, relaxed on pristine beaches...with nobody around, and caught endless amounts of yellowfin Tuna....with no other boats in sight. We ate fresh sashimi, seared ahi and baja style fish tacos with all the fish we caught. These guys have it totally dialed in. We even hung out in town with the locals.
Scott has hired only staff from Bastimentos and we immediately felt like family. These guys showed us the best local restaurants and met their familys. They even invited us into their homes to dine with them. It was such a special feeling to be so far away from home but treated like family.
We stayed in a bungalow and it was clean, comfortable and absolutely unique. The gardens are amazing and pristine. Niko, the gardener, has a green thumb and has created the most amazing surroundings. It is majestic.
We loved our stay at Red Frog Bungalows and cannot wait to get back. Thank Scott, Maiky, Bobo, Toluch, Chato and Niko for such an amazing adventure. We will never forget you all.

Room Tip: They are all perfect

Scott, Mikey, Chato, and Bobo - thanks for a great week exploring he islands and cuisine off the shore of Bocas Del Toro. The staff was amazing. You were always made comfortable and taken care of for every need.

The lodging and location was absolutely fantastic. We were able to stay out of the heat on certain days and in an extremely clean, cool bungalow nestled in the jungle only a few steps away from the ocean. The lodging is surrounded by an exotic garden with native plants and fruit trees - and of course butterflies, birds and parrots were plentiful to the eye and a wonder to behold. We spent a few days exploring the neighboring areas, bird island, starfish, polo, and red frog beaches, snorkeled and fished.

If your a fisherman then this is a great hidden area with very little or no fishing pressure. we fished a few times and on the first trip in the first 30 minutes we had four yellowtail tunas hit the lines at the same time and landed three. The remaining trips were similar with Bonita, wahoo, kingfish, black fin tuna and even shark landed.

Every evening we would have dinner cooked by Bobo the chef and it was fantastic, in fact better than anything I ate the entire time I was in Bocas Del Toro. The salad with fresh greens avocado, pineapple, tuna chunks, homemade vinagrette was a hit and was accompanied with a great seafood soup with lobster, mussels, and a nice medium rare tuna steak with a an incredible homemade sauce.

If you want service, comfort and a great host - then Scott and his staff at Red Frog Bungalows. We will be heading back in a few months to try the surfing!

Thanks again guys! ~ Brent & Danielle

Our family trip to the Red Frog Bungalows was more than I could ever ask for. We were a traveling family of six, including my 2 year old son. Scott and Mikey welcomed us with so much warmth and hospitality. We arrived late, but Bobo had dinner waiting for us. After a long day of travel from the states, it was surprising. We have been to a few places were the cantina was closed for the night.

The next morning we woke up to fresh pressed coffee and another amazing meal made by Bobo. From then on the fun was a blur...

The boys went surfing with Scott and Toluch or T.O. They had a super epic time! Then, another day they went fishing and caught some black fin and yellowfin tuna...largest about 50 pounds. It was all caught on a go pro which we will kindly send to Scott soon. We also have some great video of Chato the wing man/ first mate. I wasn't on the boat but the energy and vibe from the boat was amazing!Scott definitely knows how to make people stoked out!

As for the girls and my two year old son, we had a blast exploring the jungle and the beaches. The beach out front is crazy beautiful, crystal clear water and very private. Everyone was extremely friendly. And we never had a problem with sand flies. We went on a quite a few boat excursions and it was awesome. We saw white faced monkeys and sloths which whom Nicco the gardener is expert at seeking out. And of course the red frogs, I discovered you can't search for them, they come to you. Since one night walking on a trail one landed on my foot.

The Bungalows are Eco friendly, which means no electricity; except for at night when your solar panels run your lights and your bedside fan. Which was surprisingly comfortable after a day. It is humid but what do you expect when you are in the jungle? Elvira the house keeper was amazing and cleaned our bungalow everyday. Herself and Mikey were extra cool with my little guy. He was in love.

I am suggesting so many of my own friends and customers to theBungalows... Check it out!

Thank you Scott and the team! Andrew, Morgan and I had the very best weekend escape from the busy-ness of the city to the bliss of your jungle paradise. We are already plotting our return visit. I loved being amongst the trees and critters in the garden - frogs, butterflies, birds (so many hummingbirds!), the parrots and yellow tails and of course the many and varied geckos and lizards, not to mention the fireflies and beetles at night. For Andrew it was the beach and warm water. Morgan loved our accommodation and the hammocks and the library. We all rated the food as a highlight. The whole team is friendly, cruisy and helpful. The property is immaculate and gorgeous - steps from the white sand beach but tucked into the jungle. We decided you could make one of those relaxation CDs to the sounds you hear at night - waves, frogs, crickets ... nothing manmade - devine. Awesome weekend! Oh, and the zipline just a short walk up the path is definitely worth doing as well.

Red Frog Bungalows was one of the greatest highlights of our month long honeymoon in Panama. The Balinese bungalow was an amazing treat to stay in and Scott and his crew created delicious meals everyday. From our deck we saw the red frogs and at night these glowing eyed fire beetles that loved to dive towards you. The surf was fun to get flipped in and Scott's new hammocks on the beach was the best place to lie around and show off in (you are in the best place on the beach!). We met great new friends from other parts of the world, ate great food, drank Panamanian beer and had many laughs - this is the place to go!
