I cannot agree with the previos reveiwer. Although it is in a fine old wooden building, we didn't experience any noise problems. There was nothing wrong with the breakfasts, unless you are a glutton, nor were the beds lumpy.

I was, however, most impressed by the staff, especially by the help I received when booking our stay in Bocas.

We would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Lumpy beds, paper-thin walls and I was still hungry after breakfast. However, there is a TV (if you want that) and the staff was nice enough. I don't think I would stay here again.

We booked this hotel via email for 4 nights... just came back last night! Reservation process was smooth and the room was ready when we arrived.

The room: our room was very clean and was kept that way during our stay. We had two queen beds and one double bed, a TV with satellite programming, hot water and A/C. No complaints!

The restaurant: we had dinner there the first night... were not impressed. Our room came with breakfast included every morning and it was outstanding. Fresh OJ would have helped, but other than that... Good coffee thought.

The staff was always very courteous and helpful, and so was the owner, Tito Thomas... nice fellow.

We stayed here for 4 nights in oct. 2005 on the second floor and we loved it. Good room, good shower, good airco and very good bed. We loved the big frontporch with seaview and nice seats. The hotel is situated near restaurants, bars, and the best supermarket of the lovely island of Isla Colon.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights last August. We loved this hotel. It is well taken care of and the manager was helpful and friendly. The room was a nice size and it had two double beds with AC and a t.v. which was nice to have after having been without one for almost a month. The hotel has hardwood floors and you can tell that they took a lot of care with their renovations of this old hotel. There is a communal balcony on the second floor which overlooks the main street that is great for lounging around and relaxing. The island is so small and everything is within walking distance so its location at one end of the island is not a problem. Even if you don't feel like walking, the taxis are very cheap.

If you're looking for a hip place to eat at that has great food, try El Pecado which is down the street from the hotel. The locals even eat there.
