Owner description: Formosa Aboriginal Cultural Village has the largest outdoor museum in Taiwan dedicated to displaying the traditional homes and architecture of Taiwanese indigenous tribes. The nine villages are arrayed over an expansive section of hillside to give visitors a feel of what native Taiwanese villages looked like so many years ago. All buildings were reconstructed based on fieldwork research and blueprints drawn up by anthropologists in the 1930s and 40s.

There is a good mix of theme park rides, movies and cultural display of art and craft. Good variety for a day out.
If you like the Japanese cantoon One Piece, you will be thrilled to watch the 3D movie and displays. December is a low period, so we enjoyed short queues.

The performance was quite okay. It was just a combination of all the tribes putting a performance together. However, the theme park was a great disappointment. Only a game was put up for tourists to play. There wasn't any announcement stating that the rest were renovating and even so, they should have adjusted the price of the tickets. It was NT$780 per ticket but we bought it as NT$600 from our hotel - Shui Yang Min Su. Negative review from me and I do not recommend it to even family with young children.

The admission price is very reasonable with a cable car ride, rides and cultural show thrown in. The rides would most certainly excite teenagers aswell as young children as there are dedicated rides for these two demographies. The cultural show was also quite interesting though a little commercialised. The pricing of the food in the amusement park is quite reasonable as well.

The included cable car ride up to the amusement park is very scenic and pleasant with a paranomic view of sun moon lake provided it is not too misty. Definetly one of the better amusement parks in taiwan.
