This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Most rooms have fine views even if you don’t pay for a lake view. The rooms also have pleasant balconies and hot spring tubs for two with bench seats and a cold water faucet for adjusting the temperature. The springs here are clear and odorless. This hotel is new, elegant, and comfortable in every way – an excellent break or getaway. The buffet offers many dishes that can be prepared to order. You may need to allow extra hair time; our hair dryer cut off after only a minute or so and we then had to wait for it to cool down. And allow lots of extra time for the elevators: some have certain floors prioritized, some are restricted, and all seem to have minds of their own.

The Sun Moon Lake is a paradise.
The Hotel is 5*. The staff helpful and nice. The rooms facing the lake and the hot tub in the room
amazing. We just spent one night and we would have stayed longer.
The Buffett Dinner had a large range. From Sushi, to hot food, cheese, salad and very good
bread. You can walk to the nearby temple which you have to visit. To drive around the lake
takes about one hour. A highlight is the cable car.

Our tour group stayed for one night at this luxury hotel at the north end of Sun Moon Lake. The room was very large and had its own spa bath as well as a good shower unit. A nice view of the lake too. Pity we couldn’t have stayed longer here!

We stayed for one night as part of an Edison Travel Package. It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It is pure luxury and the service is amazing. The hot spring double hot tub in the room was terrific, especially if you don't want to bother going to the main pools. We ate in the Chinese Restaurant and had 3 a la carte dishes. Although fairly expensive it was very good value and some of the best Chinese food that we have ever had and that is saying something as we lived in Hong Kong for 19 years. Potions, on the whole are large, especially the fried noodles dishes. We had 3 dishes between 2 of us and it was as much as we could eat, although the vegetable dish was smaller.I think it is better to eat a la carte instead of the set meal as you can eat exactly what you want and will be cheaper unless you order high end dishes. It must make a pleasant change for the chefs too! We can also thoroughly recommend Edison Travel. It was a very well organised trip and good value for money.

It was the first hotel that we stayed in for our 4N5D round-island tour organized by Edison Tours (you can Google them up, they are highly recommended - famous for western and Asean visitors since the tours are conducted in English) which was both very good - for this hotel and for the tour.

This hotel, located at Sun Moon Lake is easily one of the nicest there. The rooms were really magnificent - separated sitting toilet and shower/hot spring tubs, luxurious beds (our rooms had 2 double beds) and the room was really spacious and GRAND.

They have the hot spring pool in the hotel (separate ones for male and female, where for the guys you need to go the full-monty) and also the Waterworld (water theme park for families and kids).

Had the buffet dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Pricey, but worth the money. The dessert bar alone is probably an experience that you will never forget.

Pros: Great hotel, nice facilities (WaterWorld, hotspring), clean and luxurious rooms, in-room hot-spring tub, great dining restaurants (pricey though), tea and mineral water provided.

Cons: Location wise, no easy for access to the town area nearby for cheaper restaurants (not within walking distance, but you can hire a shuttle service). But that's about it.

Also you may notice that the housekeeping will provide 4 different coloured toothbrushes in the room - so that it doesn't get mixed up ;)

Memorable moment: The porter staffs will wave continuously to you in the bus till you leave their sight. Hahaha.

Return? Definitely YES.

Just stayed overnight with group of friends at this wonderful hotel located in Sun Moon Lake. Check in was quick with the help of our tour guide. We were given a lake side view room and believe me, you'll really be spell-bound with the breathtaking scenery especially in the early morning. The room was spacious and has a balcony to view the Sun Moon Lake. There is a mini ref and free coffee and teas and also mineral water. The beds are big and the linens used are of top quality. Also enjoyed the sunken bath tub with spring water in the bathroom. Some of my friends enjoyed the hot spring in the hotel. We really wish we had more time to enjoy the Water World and other amenities in the hotel. Breakfast buffet in the hotel is very good, with wide selection of Chinese, western and Japanese food. Free wi-fi all over the hotel. Would certainly book this hotel next time when we're in the area!
