Lovely new place. Still ironing out some kinks (western style buffet not so great - stick to the Sri Lankan curries) but warm welcoming staff, amazing infinity pool and rooms are beautiful. Great view of Sigiriya rock as you swim and a good launching pad to Anaradapura. Spa and massages are good too if not the cheapest in Sri Lanka.

As you approach, what greets you is a mass of concrete which looks quite alien to the surroundings. But once you mount the stairs and reach the entrance lobby, the scenary - infinite looking swimming pool with Sigirya rock in the distant as the back drop - is breathtaking. The staff was friendly. The choice and the quality of food were rather average. The ambience was quite relaxing but there was something lacking. I was wondering whether it was a feeling of lifelessness or emptiness that imparted this feeling. Given the fact that hotel had started operations only 4 months back, the lack of any activities in the evening and teething problems were understandable.

We stayed in a tent which was interesting. All amenities were available and the stay was comfortable. Bathrooms were excellent. The only issue in the tent was that the bathroom roof was leaking when it rained. Tents are hidden in the shrub jungle but the construction and vehicle noise was disturbing the serenity of the environment one would expect in this sort of resort. We had an enjoyable stay, and will not hesitate to recommend to others but it is unlikely that we would return. The bottom line is that there is nothing much to 'write home about' this place and certainly is not of the same calibre as some of the more expensive eco resorts in the area such as Kandalama.

Ps: ah! dont forget to pay a visit to the Paddy museum

Room Tip: Select a tent if you wish to avoid the feeling of being in a concrete mass in a desert.

We have spent one night at this hotel and we hoped we could spend more days at this place. As we arrived we had a great welcoming drink and the place already calls for peacefulness. The room was simply amazing, huge bed, flat screen TV, a beautiful bath and shower and a balcony. The service was by far the best we had, the breakfast buffet with a lot of choice was great and the beautiful swimming pool had a view on the Sigiriya Rock.... Simply Amazing! The only negative point was to be awakened at 8AM by one of the employees for a check of our minibar when we just wanted to stay late in bed. We would highly recommend this place for a romantic stay far from the noise of the roads and the cities.

Was there for two nights. Good experience all round. Atmosphere, food, rooms and people. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and the view of the Sigiriya rock is amazing.
Keep it up "Aliya"
